Sad Day

#1 Post by hedgeknight »

Just wanted to point out, there are no games being run by the almighty Inferno. :(
So many of us have had the privilege of sitting at the virtual table and enjoying killer descriptions, harrowing moments, and an occasional TPK :SAN:
Best wishes to Inferno and hoping to see recruitment for a new game in the near future!
Winter is coming...

A very sad day indeed. I enjoy his games immensely myself. Here is to hoping that he is running a new game in the near future.

Oof! :(
His creativity made for fun games!
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Oh :( Did Inferno leave an "official" message about this somewhere? I guess not (and needless to say respect his/her integrity)

I was curious when he reached out to have his games moved.

This, from his reply:
Inferno wrote: Mon Apr 24, 2023 1:53 pm Everything's fine, thanks. :)

Hope to return one day, when free time permits.

He was a machine! He had a bunch of games going at one point, and he definitely put forth a lot of effort.
Definitely a sad loss.

Agreed, I only played in 2 of his games but they were both great games.

Sad day indeed. He'll be back, I'm sure, as work affords it.

The man has been a veritable Haydn for this site. Not only has he been immensely prolific in his contributions, but I believe his games truly pushed many of the other DMs here to new heights in our own.

^^This.
I'm trying to beg, borrow, and steal his ideas to improve my games. I get goosebumps often when reading his descriptions...mostly because it scares the shit out of me!
