Harker scowls at the foul creatures mentally kicking himself for not insisting upon torching any corpses of their fallen foes but he does NOT back down moving up to block their entry to the room by fighting in the doorway... alone if need be.. but encouraged to see Coweena at his side holding the door entry.

His only comment before he wades in "Uhgg.. Ghastly!"

Initiative [1d10]=8

1 Attack #7 w/Silvered Bastard Sword [1d20+1]=18+1=19 Damage Med [1d8+3]=5+3=8

Shield held high Bastard Sword swinging to the left of Coweena well away from risking hitting her.. Harker hacks into it rotting already dead flesh to chop it down to a less threatening and hopefully a less animate foe...

Igber's ability to identify a target for his sling-stone amongst the fishy crew is clearly limited! He'll try and keep the range open using the open space of the hall to advantage there.

The abominations against the Laws of Life that stand in the passage before you surge towards the open door eager to make the portal, and it is too late to shut them out.
Pebble cowers away from the horror that approaches. These creatures too much resemble the things he saw in his dreams; and he is unprepared to face them in the waking world.

Conweena swings her axe in spite of her incapacity. The strike is well aimed, but fate is not with her, and it strikes the door instead of the outstretched arms. Before she can react to strike again, the rotting creature has seized her arm with the claws of it's left arm digging into her wrist. It's right arm grabs at her axe arm as well, gripping the vambrace of her mail that protects her arm as blood begins to well up below her palm. A frigid shill runs up her arm as if she had plunged it into the freezing Jorkild (a glacial river in her homeland) during winter. In spite of it's gaping belly dangling unnamed organs, she cannot fight it's strength.

Roll a save vs. Paralysis.

Damage on Conweena [1d4]=2

While this is happening, the other creature peppered with holed from Dorath's bullets lunges through the doorway towards Harker, clawing wildly at the paladin. They grapple for a moment, but Harker cannot defend himself from the creatures strength, and he too feels the icy burning as the creatures claws find flesh.

Roll a save vs. Paralysis.

Damage on Harker [1d4]=4

Yes, I've calculated all attack roll results with a -1 for Harker's aura of protection.

Meanwhile Traesta is not unprepared, and starts calling on the power of Paldon to banish this evil by his overwhelming power.

Igber does not wait for a clear target, but unleashes a stone down the passage. it flies over-high, striking the stone above the doorway instead. the impact showers harmless flakes of stone at friend and foe alike.

Even as the profane form of unlife draws Harker's blood, the long silvered blade pierces the (#7) foe deeply. The weapon plunges wholly into the chest of the creature, and then on the outward swing, cuts through it's side between the ribs as Harker grunts with the effort. Clotted blackened blood and the severed tissues of organs protrude from the wound which would have killed any living thing; but this is no living thing, and it continues to wrestle with unholy power, seeking Harker's life. It's white dead eyes roll and focus again on Harker.

Dorath follows Igber's example, and lets a stone fly into the fray with an impotent curse, but his stone also fails to find any meaningful mark.

As a third foul desecration with only half of it's head pushes into the room, Traesta finishes her petition, but it seems only words now. These foul creatures are intent on the warm blood they smell in the room you occupy, and do not heed her admonitions.

Seeing both Harker and Conweena in mortal danger, Lannas charges forward to add his blade to the recipe. Somehow, like Harker, he is able to resist the overpowering reek that these creatures exude.

save vs poison for Lannas (14) [1d20]=14

Opponent rolls:

undead initiative [_2d10]=(2+3)=5
5/6

Attack Rolls:
undead attack rolls [_4d20]=(18+13+17+13)=61
The first two (18/13) at Conweena. The second pair (17/13) at Harker.

Advantages: They do not have weapons to skewer you with, nor do they have their shields to nullify your weapons.
Disadvantages: These are much meaner and a touch can put you down, hard. They have 3 attacks; they haven't used all 3 yet, but those fish snouts are lined with very sharp teeth.

Igber realises that getting a good shot is not going to happen with three huge people between him and the door - so he heads up the room to the dias to see whether that will give a height advantage to get a clear shot.

From the distance, Igber will look to take a sling-shot at any creature looking to flank the main group on the north side. Is that opportunity available?

Dorath

Horrified to see the chaos before him, Dorath desires to get into a better position with fewer of his allies directly in front of him. Not seeing the perfect opportunity quite yet, he remains safely in back, aims for fish Harker is engaged with (#7) and lets loose another barrage of stones. The sight of his comrades in such a dire situation strikes at his nerves and he struggles to keep his cool.

Traesta and Igber meander about the periphery of the combat searching for a way to contribute while Pebble cowers from the horrors and Harker's lantern casts violent shadows that mimic his darting battle movements. Dorath doesn't hesitate though and hastily throws another bullet into the fray.

As Harker and Conweena are forced back by the action of the fight, a third creature slips between them, but Lannas inserts himself bodily into the path of the restless dead invading the room.

Dorath's shot is made at an inopportune time, and Harker hears it whiz past his head, far too close for comfort. The bullet continues it's harmless trajectory through the passage beyond, singing an impotent death wail in the darkness.

Conweena rips herself from the claws of her assailant. The cold undeath of her opponent and the sickness it inspires has clearly taken a toll on her, but her resolve is unshaken, and she continues to fight, swinging her weapon wildly.
No need to make an escape roll, but thank you for your attention.

Lannas' heroic action however is fraught with danger, and he soon feels the cold grip of the deadly foe. His opponent grapples Lannas in an unexpected bear-hug. The tail-less dead thing lunges forward, driving necrotic claws though Lannas' leather hauberk, and pulls him close enough for the jagged teeth to find meat. Lannas screams in agony as the pain and numbing cold envelops him for a moment.

Damage on Lannas for bite [1d3]=2

Lannas Save vs. Paralysis (14 or better) [1d20]=19

Harker too strikes wildly at the abomination that stands before him, and his next swing pierces the corpse again, It staggers for a moment, but the glazed dead eyes remain fixed on Harker, and it lunges at him relentlessly, ignoring the keen edge of Harker's long weapon.

initiative for dead fish in numerical order (1,2,7) [_3d10]=(9+7+8)

dead fish attacks (2 each) in numerical order (1,2,7) [_6d20]=(11+17+13+19+10+12) (MISS)

Conweena cannot find a way to bury her axe in the target that assaults her, and finally it finds a way past the twirling edge, clawing at her again, and again she feels the bitter cold of it's deadly clutches.

initiative for dead fish in numerical order (1,2,7) [_3d10]=(9+7+8)

dead fish attacks (2 each) in numerical order (1,2,7) [_6d20]=(11+17+13+19+10+12) (ONE HIT/ONE MISS)

roll for damage to Conweena [1d4]=2

Please roll another Save vs. Paralysis. Also please cleave the thing this time?

Traesta sees the fish zombie on top of Lannas and tries to smash it with her mace.

Harker sees his best blows are not felling the undead abomination then note the sudden stillness in Coweena as her eye flutter in the stunned shock of sudden paralysis...

And a great RAGE Well up in his heart as he grips his Holy Symbol and Castigates the Dead things ~ "Back, BACK ~ Foul Unclean THINGS! Return to the DARK-EMBRACE of Your Master I CONDEMN THEE IN THE NAME of PALDON! BEGONE!!!"

Turn Undead [1d20]=15

...not realizing his attempt to call upon his faith was a complete waste of effort... for the power of the divine only flickered dimly within his still neophyte, even if courageous, paladin's soul...

Purely in Desperation... Harker swings his silvered bastard sword at the persistent 7# undead corpse trying to cut his way to Coweena's side to defend her... and manages to land a pure lucky strike...

1 Attack #7 w/Silvered Bastard Sword [1d20+1]=17+1=18 Damage Med [1d8+3]=7+3=10
