Activation Station II, So Cold

With a big hug, Princess ties a rope around the thuggish Maag at the same time he is peppered with spells and love from the others.

Immune to the unnatural cold, and totally silent, the half-orc starts making his way to the end of the dark hallway where he uses a mirror to find another identical hallway beyond. Through the darkness, he can barely make out where it turns again up ahead.

The rest of the group stays behind in the cold hallway, holding the rope, ready to pull the thief back if he should suddenly die.

Actions?

Clarification question - Is the map scale 5' or 10' per box? Give that Maag has 50' of rope tied to him it will determine if we have to move into the hallway or not to have him get to the second turn.

Wake will help with holding the rope and we will feed out the rope not moving in to the hallway tell we have let out about 40'.

The Princess

Seeing Maag make it to the corner alive, she will take a step inside the corridor to see for herself how cold it really is. If she was already in the passage without serious side effects, she will move up to the first corner and wait, still holding the rope.

She tries to say something but quickly finds herself within the cone of silence.

Maag waits to see if the Princess can make it up to the corner with him. If she does, he advances cautiously to the next corner and checks it out with his mirror, giving her a wink before he moves on. If no backup arrives, he advances even more cautiously, expecting to ambushed at any second.

Activation Station II, So Cold

The mouthing Princess joins Maag inside the very cold hallway without incident, experiencing no ill effects, other than being extremely cold now.

Maag silently moves to the next corner for a peek around it, glad to notice the cold doesn’t seem to get any worse the deeper he moves inside.

In the next hallway, he finds a stairway leading down into darkness.

Actions?

She turns back to the others with a grin and a thumbs up, waving them forward.

Maag

When Wake arrives, Maag points at the light coin and then indicates the stairs descending into darkness. He holds out his hand for the coin.

With the coin in his hand, Maag carefully advances towards the top of the stairs and looks down. If things look clear, he waves the rest of the party forward.

At that point, Maag advances down the stairs, looking for traps. He uses his sword to test each step for tripwires and pressure plates.

The Princess

Just as her infravision is about to kick in, the coin illuminates what it can. She follows Maag to the corner above the stairs and waits there, not keen on being the first down.

She nods at Maag and draws her sword.

Moving in with the group, Feanol finds the cool a bit refreshing, but hopes it is not a long term condition. She continues to soothe Gnodric who has never dealt with cold like this.

Wes appears at the entrance to the Activation Station II. "WAKE! I need to talk to you!" he calls out. Holding out his green orb, the druid says, "We have two green orbs in our group. I think it's the reason we can't get the door open. Would you see fit to trade one of yours for this one?"
