OOC II
Re: OOC II
Sorry to hear it. I will say I had a similar difficulty with another player on this board and my solution is just to avoid games where he is playing. Hopefully you can find a game or two where you can avoid that negativity.
Re: OOC II
Same here. Hipe to see you back soon. *hug*
Re: OOC II
Sorry to hear about the trouble.
Re: OOC II
New posts up. Once I get everyone back to the outpost I will get a longer more action oriented post up.
Re: OOC II
You've probably already answered this already, somewhere, but when can we try again with psychometry on the blade? When our skill goes up?
Re: OOC II
You can keep trying until you have asked PSI (3 in your case) questions. You just have to wait to recover the 3 fatigue levels you gained or you would be at a -15 penalty. 20 minutes of rest or 10 minutes of sleep recovers 1 FL. So an hour of non-strenuous activity and you can try again. Once you have asked your 3 questions then you can't try again until you go up enough to increase your PSI by 1. PSI = the first digit of ML (or 2 digits if ML is 100+). You have a 33 ML for Psychometry fo your current PSI is 3, so it will go up when you get to a 40 ML.
Re: OOC II
OK, so Arngeir can try again before he retires for the night (assuming 1hrs+ later so no fatigue).
Re: OOC II
Correct.
Re: OOC II
Sorry everyone. I wanted to move this along yesterday or today and just keep running out of gas. I will try and get something posted when I get up in the morning.
Re: OOC II
All good when you are ready.
Re: OOC II
feel free to amke suggestions for the last two questions. I was thinking about 'who was your previous owner', possibly followed by 'how did your previous owner die'.
Re: OOC II
"What is the most important thing I should know about you?"
Re: OOC II
Ooh, I like it, clever!
Re: OOC II
I will wait for the question to get asked in the Outpost thread in case you are still thinking it over.
Re: OOC II
For the last question I'm thinking about who was the last owner, or their most important owner, or possibly who forged it.
Re: OOC II
Maybe
"Who owned you in the Battle of Sorrows?"
Or
"How did you come to be here?"
...because the battle didn't happen here. He ended up on the second floor in here behind the secret door.
I think magic had a thing about knowing names of intelligent items? This assuredly is one. Do we need to ask that?

Re: OOC II
I think if it's a famous blade, knowing its name would enable us to learn a lot more about it elsewhere.
Re: OOC II
I think I'm going to ask for makers name. That and the fact it has to be a parrying dagger might help us get more, but I doubt we'll be able to find out much around here.
It might not be intelligent or have a name. Rex tends to have things respond to psychometry like they were alive and it's what they experienced.
Down the line, when my skill increases, I'll be able to ask another question.

Re: OOC II
That reminds me you get a skill improvement roll for psychometry because you has a CS. 1d100+SB, if over your current ML, ML goes up 1.
Re: OOC II
Percentage: [1d100]=66 +16 = 82,so a pass. I'll update his sheet later, IIRC his skill goes up to 34%
