The party encounters apparent mutineers, hijackers in crew uniforms. Conflict results.
Ship systems begin to fail, beginning with the port stabilizers.
The party encounters another passenger, Goran, who has assaulted a member of ship security and stolen their uniform.
The ship loses structural integrity for reasons unknown. Explosive decompression begins.
After some false starts, the party makes their way towards the escape pod bay. Further conflict arises as they encounter more mutineers.
As they encounter more passengers exiting their cabins, Chip leaves the party in order to assist his friends, a band of dralasite musicians (cross-ref: The Trummgrunblers).
Goran temporarily splits from the party to access the storage facilities.
The party discovers an ongoing firefight in the escape pod bay between mutineers and associates of Mrak-a-Grillo. The party joins the fray, entering into an uneasy alliance with Mrak-a-Grillo. When the last mutineer surrenders, the party shepherds the passengers into the remaining escape pods. They take the last escape pod, along with four remaining passengers (cross-ref: Hilberth, Interlocutor Kdantk, Kallt'kan, Chrt'kltal).
The Serena Dawn suffers catastrophic structural failure and explodes.
The party's escape pod is nearly destroyed in the explosion, but Skur Vonn is able to take manual control and pilot the pod towards Volturnus.
The pod crash lands on Volturnus.
