An Anoan tribes women you and your Mercenary acquaintance saved from a pack of wolves on the Fur Road, coming south from Orbaal to Kaldor. She works as a scout and guide out of Olokand Kaldor and you spent a few weeks with her and the 2 of you became very close.
The Anoa paint themselves with a green dye and usually don't get along with the Ivinians who occupy the land north of their tribal lands (the Anoth Delta), the Taelda tribes to their south or the Kaldorians to their south. They are a fairly violent people. They are of the same racial stock as the Jarin, they just never civilized. They worship K'orr (another name for Ilvir). They are some of the finest woodsman on Harn and masters of the ambush and hit and run tactics. Some, usually outcasts take up life as scouts working in Orbaal to their north (held by the Ivinians) or Kaldor to their south. Both the Ivinians and the civilized Harnians often refer to them as Green Demons when they raid.

Arngeir was born in Ivinia. His father went to Orbaal with the clan when he was 8, and he, his siblings and his mother went over when he was 12...and discovered his father had taken his second wife from the local Jarin population.
