Re: OOC
Posting here to confirm access.
Re: OOC
I'm going to follow one of my favorite US DM's policy and move the game forward twice per week, whether or not all players have posted. Boot Hill's combat and shootout turns are very interactive. We'll never move the game along if we do wait for every busy person to post.
In every situation that I can (with limited foresight) foresee at this moment, carrying over the PC's action from the last turn to the next one should work. If the situation changes drastically, I'll have to NPC the character. That shouldn't be much of a problem, because you guys have been good about laying out your characters' intentions for each turn, as well as providing good backgrounds about their backgrounds and natures.

Re: OOC
If you know that you'll have limited time or access to the US forums for some time, please let us know. And also if you want us to temporarily NPC your character, and if you have general or specific guidance for GM about that. Most or all of you guys are veteran US PBP players and/or GMs. You know about how game courtesy and how keeping a game moving along work.

Re: Law of the Gun OOC
We'll give Jake McCall and John Carry another day to post, then continue. Neither have been involved in Sebastian's and Doos's brawl and grapple duels with the cowboys. I think we can safely move things along and keep going along, with no offense to meant to anyone.
Advisory: After this brawling and grappling fight, we'll may move all survivors and losers to the Hays County, Texas, county jail. Most likely, it seems.

Oh, I thought we were having John Carry sit out for now.
Right now he is in a separate scene on the front porch, anyway. I really like the idea of replying to the boy's questions, but i just don'thave time to do that well at the moment.

Alright, we'll leave John Carry out until you say you're back and ready. We'll find a way to resume the dialogue with the devout boy.

Sorry for the delay all. I intended to resolve Turn 5 today, but I had a home maintenance project got in the way. Tomorrow.

Re: Law of the Gun OOC
Just checking this. Page 24 says only 1 Careful but 2 x Steady, 3 x Hip.This is Combat Turn, PCs can make 2 Brawl/Grapple attacks or two Careful shots.
Though only 1 Careful during a Combat turn, anything else becomes a Shoot-out Turn. Hope I am reading correctly, the action sequences are a bit confusing at first play.
Re: Law of the Gun OOC
Check out p. 28, Combat Turn Action Sequence. It says 1 or 2 Careful shots per 6-second Combat Turn. Careful shots have no modifiers, except for Accuracy Modifiers (target size, target moving, etc.) (P.26) and the weapon's range (p. 42).
Point Blank range is 2 yards or less. The other ranges are by weapon, as shown on the p.42 weapons chart. (Everybody, it's simpler than it sounds. Just check out the charts. They make sense).
If it comes to it, we'll switch from Combat Turn to 1-second Shootout Turn time scale.

Apologises, yes page 24 notes 'shoot-out turn' for the single shot.
So being in Combat and winning initiative, I can take two Careful shots so I will edit my post to include the second shot. (Wound location & severity included).
