If possible.....

Sven will pay another fee for any research into Nergal, any connection to the bronze doors, and the "Blossom of Death", hoping they can find some information to bring back to Helix with them.

Nergal scholar vs 12 [4d6]=14[4d6]=11 Black Knight scholar vs 13 [4d6]=13[4d6]=17

It might be too late to pass this information on as you venture in Ironguard after the expedition leaves, but for future reference:

Nergal: Had four children. The sons, Set & Orcus became gods in their own right, establishing themselves among deities of death. The daughters stayed as lesser powered demi-gods (sorry even the demons run on a patriachy). While Kali and Impurax stay in their own spheres of death, pestilence, atrophy the sons actively waged war upon their father and almost usurped his throne over the Abyss. Were it not for each son equally waring upon his sibling, a united pair might have overthrown Nergal's reign.

His reign did wane, in time as all Gods do. To preserve his influence he established covenants that contained words of power and sealed them away.

Black Knight, a Nergal Champion known as 'the Blossom of Death' was on a parallel to high level paladins but devoted to the cult of death. His symbol was a black rose, crossed under a skull (like a jolly Roger but flowers not bones). His name was not known but he led a legion of four hundred warriors that terrorised wherever they marauded. He bore platemail armour that radiated hellish heat and a large shield that warded noble knights away. He rode upon a dread steed, a black stallion that had hooves as a fiery zephyr.
