OOC & Stuff, Part 2

#1 Post by hedgeknight »

Hey folks > I'm working on a restart for the next game. I know a couple of folks are interested, and I will be opening the recruitment up in a few days. Ready to jump back into some Post-Wars Greyhawk, 2E?

I will read through your old house rules and setting. Hoping the dice favour me. What are folk thinking for character races and classes?

A lot will depend on rolls for me. I don't usually get rolls that allow sub-classes so if I do I may go that route.

I have an elven archer that I think I'm carrying over from a previous adventure with Hedge.

A poor wiry dervish of an elf.

I'm in and will see what the rolls lead to but per usual I'll likely be a Gnome or Dwarf (something) depending on allowed races and what not.

Is there a roller campaign ID# you would like us to use for character creation rolls?

I'll be dragging Sai into the game.
All things are possible through Magic.

792 is the Campaign ID#

Darklin2 & Monsieur Rose are players from the first game, both playing Elves.
Darklin2's character, Sai, is a F/MU/TH and MR's character, Cassius, is a Fighter, specialized in Archery > he's wicked with a bow!

I say this in every game I run, and I mean it > play what YOU want to play (or what the dice support). Don't worry if the group needs a token cleric or healer. We can have an entire group of Elves for all I care.
You do need to know that this game will take place shortly after the Greyhawk Wars, so playing a Half-Orc may not be wise. And it goes without saying (even though I'm gonna say it anyway  ), no CN or CE characters, and no psionics.

I'm going to give a few others a chance to respond and then may open the door for another player (or two) to round out the group.
I will try and check in later tonight.

Ok. I will roll a suitable Greyhawk character later tonight and pass it over for inspection.

Ok, subject to approval and future editing, I am going forward with a below average cleric, preaching repentance of sins, the Greyhawk war is God's judgement and the end is nigh.

Classic Rex rolls. Not sure what I am going with but will think it over, need to figure out where the 4 needs to be for each class option.

Abilities [4d6c1]=15 [4d6c1]=13 [4d6c1]=10 [4d6c1]=14 [4d6c1]=8 [4d6c1]=4

So another crazy question Gary/Hedge I'm looking in my 2e GreyHawk Player's Guide it's talking about dwarf kits do I need to take one of those to play a dwarf? If so I might just end up rolling with a gnome instead.

I have a couple of questions on kits as well. Are the Druid Shapeshifter and/or Totemic Druid kits in play? They are pretty powerful as they allow shape change at a lower level but with restrictions.

Kits are optional.
The Options/Skills books are not; don't want to see them. ;)

I will update the threads tonight and through the weekend. Hoping to kick this baby off some time over Easter weekend. Only shooting for 1-2 posts a week, so don't freak out if you can't post. It's all good in the hood.

So the 2 druid kits are OK? May go with a specialty cleric, I have run lots clerics but never a 2e specialty, maybe I will go that route.

I kind of like the last of the 3 dwarf kits because the racial stat adjusters don't subtract from anything lol.
