I just want to make sure I get this right. I spend 125 points, then take up to 125 points of disadvantages, then I can spend however many points I took in disadvantages. So in theory I could have 250 points total. The rules are kind of not clear on this.

That is correct. You get 125 for free and then for every one more point in disadvantages you get another character point. The max total is 250 (125+125)

Obviously with DMs agreement, anyone thinking of doing anything with base/vehicle perks? I was thinking of a repair shop base, SUV, van and a small private jet, but I think they'll be uber expensive

I had not yet, I was hoping to get a little more info from our friendly GM. I have send him a proposed character that is a freelance mega-corporation spy with certain enhancements from his previous employer.

I am waiting on a little more background info, then I will try and wrap some stuff up. A vehicle repair shop sounds fine but not sure how much we will need it.

Yeah, as you say it might not make sense with the background. I might downgrade to a portable repair shop in a van, or just some tools locked away somewhere.

I know a guy who ran a make shift repair shop out of a storage place, he had a mini lift and everything. Just need one without cameras.

You are correct. Also, you get only partials for similar disadvantages...

There is an option for the group to share points for the base/repair shop. You guys can mull that over as well. The size of the shop, how well stocked it is, hidden location, etc, will determine the overall cost.

I had a bit of a read and a rejig of a few things and sent my character to the GM.

I have a few points left and I'm willing to put them towards some kind of group base/shop/vehicles.

I'm really close to the finished product (I think), but I'm low on spare points, so any suggestions on efficiency improvements or ways to trim the fat are greatly accepted:

I was wondering which of the 2 options you think is best:

Option 1:
Dex + 8 = 24 pts
+2 SPD = 2 pts
lightning reflexes +2, 3 pts
cyber reflexes, +1 SPD = 8 pts
+2 combat piloting = 4 pts
+2 combat driving = 4 pts
TOTAL = 45

Option 2:
Dex + 3 = 9 pts
Cyber reflexes, +10 dex = 24
+7 SPD = 7
+1 combat piloting = 2 pts
+1 combat driving = 2 pts
TOTAL = 44

Option 2 is slightly cheaper, gives higher dex and so gives me a slightly higher CV (5 rather than 4), but is worse if the cybernetics go offline.
