Acme

After jumping into the fray with three germans and a wolfman and finishing off the threat, Marvin positively feels the energy put off by Roker. "Good lord, Man. I wanted to see how that felt, but that's terrifying even for me!"

Acme moves to help ready the gun to fire, enjoying handling the large explosive shells. He finds himself wondering if he could infuse the shells with his power...

Dusk; December 2, 1942; Tunisian Desert near German Airbase outside of Sfax, North Africa

In the dying light of day, a battle between the forces of the Axis and Allies continued in Tunisia in North Africa.....

Charlie 'Dutch' Van Horn saw the Half-Track picking up speed and bearing down on him and he scrambled to his feet, hauling the big, heavy Bren Gun and he sidestepped and then leaped to the side, narrowly avoiding getting hit by its cab in the process.....

Near Dutch, Elias Tucker sighted down his Springfield Rifle; feeling the effects of his FOCUS Talent Power coursing through him and giving him tunnel vision towards the Driver's narrow view port and blocking out all sounds around him. He took a breath, released and squeezed the trigger....only to hear the tell-tale sounds of the .30-06 round jamming in the chamber. Cursing, the Coastguardsman belatedly managed to just BARELY dive out of the way in time as the Half-Track came roaring past and right thru the area that he and Van Horn had JUST been in a moment or two before....

Sweat pouring down his bearded face, 'Mad Mac' the Scotsman Super Strong Talent sat in the 'chair' of the 88mm AA gun and worked the controls to drop down and track around to keep it on target with the Half-Track. Right after it passed by Tucker and Dutch, he threw a look over the back of his shoulder and then turned to Acme and Roker and yelled; "NOW LADS!"

Acme's thoughts about turning the 88 shell into something even MORE explosive quickly left his brain at both Mac's yell AND from the scary-looking Roker half-helping/half-SWIPING the shell out of his hands and into the weapon's breech and then slamming the door shut and 'cocking' the weapon. Acme picked up his Thompson and watched closely as Roker grabbed the firing lever of the cannon.....

Fred 'Mediocre' Roker was bound and determined to remain a Wolf-man a bit longer as he loaded the weapon and got on the firing lever and as the Half-Track filled the sights; he yanked the lever at the same time the annoying Scotsman bellowed for him to do what he was already doing. The weapon went off with a deafening sound and a bright flash of light; but Roker was focused on the target the entire time. The round slammed into and completely THROUGH the side of the vehicle; then thru the cab and then off into the fence on the other side of the base runway. A moment later, the half-track came to a stop and starting pouring flames out of either side and Roker let out a howl of victory....shortly before his features shifted back to those of a pretty average looking man....

Gurung did his best to ignore the pain in his shoulder and he stoically crawled to get to some cover and then a moment later the strong hands of Doc Franklin helped him get to the edge of the runway and down behind a couple of good sized rocks. The Navy Corpsman kept his back to the enemy and in between Gurung and the enemy the whole time and in the meantime, he called on his Healing Powers and cured the Gurkha's wounds....

For a long moment after the Half-Track was destroyed, everyone relaxed and took a deep breath.....

Tucker cleared the jam in his Rifle as nearby, Dutch got up and immediately looked around to ensure everyone was okay. In the 88 foxhole; 'regular' Roker did his best to wash out his mouth with a swig of water from his canteen and the feelings of Mac and his and Tucker's Talents all faded out even as they felt Doc use his. Acme glanced around and saw that his Team was okay, so he started to call everyone together even as he could hear the sounds of both American weapons and German weapons being fired far off in the distant, telling him that Ellison's team was doing its part. That's when the onslaught of unfamiliar Talent Powers being utilized made themselves known to everyone.....

A group of five Germans in the SS uniforms with the 'Ubermenshcen runes' on one lapel; suddenly appeared some 200 yards away and several immediately began their assault utilizing their Talent Powers while a couple held back, behind the edge of a Hangar the other 3 charged forward....

Two charged together; one holding a massive Steel Shield that looked like it was a slab of Tank Armor. CLEARLY he was some kind of Super Strong Talent to be able to carry something like that and his Partner, who was mostly behind the Shield as well stood out for two main reasons. The first was that he had an eye patch covering one eye and a beard covering his face. The second was that he was holding a spear whose pointed tip was on the outside of the shield and glowing....

A moment later a beam of light erupted from the spear tip and the light slammed into the 88 and sliced it in half; dumping Mac, Acme and Roker all to the ground of the bunker with no serious wounds; but all were shaken up a bit....

One of the two SS Ubers back at the edge made a weird circling motion with his hand and an instant later a Globe of thick blackness some 20 feet in diameter completely covered Tucker and Dutch. Inside that globe, it was as if the two had been thrown into a closet with no windows on a moonless night and no electricity.....just utter darkness....

The other SS Uber hanging back looked at everything and then vanished back around the corner and out of sight. Meanwhile, the final member of the team seemed to be Roker's evil twin........an SS Werewolf with an MP 40 in his hands and one who howled and rushed right towards Gurung and Doc....

After that brief moment of rest....the Ubers appeared and when the Werewolf with the SMG came rushing at Gurung and Doc; he quickly closed the distance to about 100 yards and he proved in addition to being fearsome looking, he was ALSO a helluva shot. He cut loose a burst of 9mm fire and Doc stepped right in front of Gurung's position and got stitched with rounds and he collapsed to the ground, bleeding from several wounds to his chest and abdomen....

OOC: MAN, what a time to get a Jam roll....sorry ateno! Okay, the situation is 3 German targets in the 'open'....two at about 150 or so yards from everyone; covering behind a massive 'Tower Shield' of thick steel being carried by one Uber while the other is behind it with a 'ray-gun Spear' poking around one side.

The other guy in the open is the fast-moving Werewolf, now about 100 yards from everybody with an MP 40 in his hands....and finally, there are Two Ubers behind the Edge of the SE Hangar at about 200 yards away; one visible...the guy who dropped a 'Black Light Globe' on Tucker and Dutch and another who is NOT visible.....

Gurung, you're no Medic/Corpsman...but you know enough to know that Doc is in a REAL Bad way.....

Gurung

Gurung screams at the top of his lungs "Medic is down, get to him now!"

He then advances on the werewolf, to cut him off.

Activates Armor and Kukri.

Spends as much Will as he can to guarantee they both activate.

all good gm, cant win all the time. Mission accomplished anyway.

He calls out to Dutch, "We should not split, grab my rucksack

Tucker will do a 'left face' , wait for Dutch to yank on his backpack and then call on his invisibility and march until he sees light. If after 30 seconds woth no light. he stops.

Husband plan is to got to a tripod position and fire from their, getting just a bit of flank

Acme

"Dammit!" Marvin exclaims as he dives off the 88. His attention is quickly focused on the oncoming werewolf and fallen Doc.

"I'll get Doc! Shoot that bastard!" Acme exits the foxhole and rushes over to try to tend to Doc. "Tucker! Get over here and help Doc! Come to my voice!" I think Tucker has the best med skill.

Dusk; December 2, 1942; Tunisian Desert near German Airbase outside of Sfax, North Africa

In the dying light of day, the fierce battle between a group of German SS 'Ubers' and Allied 'Talents' raged....

Marine LT Marvin Acme saw 'Doc' Franklin go down and concerned, he immediately got up and began to rush towards his position, just BARELY noting and ducking under the intense golden-yellow beam of light that flashed right over his head as 'Odin' fired a blast from his spear....

In the globe of black light, Coastguardsman Tucker called out for his teammate 'Dutch' Van Horn to grab ahold of his rucksack and he turned left and moved quickly until he was back into the dim light of day as they emerged from the Pitch Black sphere of light. Looking around, he saw (and felt) an Armored and Glowing-Knife wielding Gurung walk through a hail of 9mm slugs fired from SS Werewolf man and bear down on the Nazi Talent. The Werewolf tossed aside the MP 40 and drew a dagger and clearly those two were about to throw down. Meanwhile, he also saw Nazi Globe-Maker create another ball of light that the charging Scotsman ran into and then a moment later a Rifle cracked and the Globe-Maker collapsed to the ground with a shot in the upper chest. About 100 yards away, 'Odin' and his 'Shieldman' were focusing on a running Acme, who was moving towards a fallen on the ground Doc....

Picking himself up off the ground, Roker heard and saw both Acme and the crazy, bearded British guy get up and rush towards the action....the former towards a shot-up Doc; the latter towards the one-eyed German with a Spear and his buddy next to him holding an enormous shield. Then yet ANOTHER Nazi Talent did some weird circle motion with his hands and a Black Sphere some 20 feet in diameter that Mac rushed into. Roker propped himself up on one knee, took aim down the barrel of his M1 Garand, took a breath and as he exhaled, he stroked the trigger. HIs aim was true and a moment later his round slammed into the German Talent's upper chest and the man rocked back for a moment and then collapsed onto his face and didn't move again. It was only just THEN that Roker saw the German werewolf closing with Gurung, about to do battle some 100 yards away....

Grabbing ahold of Tucker's rucksack, Dutch let himself be pulled in a straight line and meanwhile he called on his Talent Power of Eagle Eyes to see if it could help him see in this pitch black globe. It did NOT, but soon, he was back out into the light, emerging from a floating ball of blackness and his enhanced vision allowed him to take in the battle all around him AND to note that Tucker's Springfield was jammed; but his big Bren was good to go and there were a trio of targets to choose from.....a Nazi wolf-man about to fight with an Armored Up and Khukri holding Gurung.....or a pair German with an eye match and a Spear standing next to another one holding a massive Shield......

Gurung felt his body fill with power and the snake-like scales of armor replaced his skin while at the same time, a purple-glowing Khaki blade of energy filled his hand as he rushed towards the German shape-changer. The German fired a burst of 9mm slugs from his MP 40 and Gurung felt the rounds smash into his torso; but unlike poor Doc; they merely bruised him and the Gurkha continued to charge right at his foe. The Nazi werewolf tossed aside the SMG and he pulled a dagger and rushed right for Gurung.....a fierce melee battle loomed....

SS Dager:

Mad Mac picked himself up and with one hand he snatched up a heavy piece of the shattered '88' while at the same time he called upon the last of his reserves of will to summon up his Talent Power of Enhanced Strength and his other hand held forth his Sten SMG as he started a yell and rushed straight forward towards the 'Odin' and 'Shieldman' who were currently taking a shot at Acme with the 'energy spear' weapon. Then he ran straight into a Globe of Darkness, though his Gaelic cries could still be heard and he continued to move forward as fast as he was able, though he could see nothing....

OOC: Okay, I took the best action I could for Roker....hope that's cool Zhym! Okay, right now, 'Odin' and 'The Shield' are in the middle of the action with a charging Acme (Towards a fallen Doc and the Black Sphere that Tucker and Dutch just emerged from on one side of them and Roker and Mac on the other; with Mac rushing straight for them while Roker is more or less at the 88 position, firing his M1.

On the OTHER side of this fight, Gurung and Nazi Wolfman are about 50 yards from each other and closing fast. Gurung is BRUISED from the SMG shots; i.e. he'll be at -1D to all actions for the next 2 rounds.

Tucker needs to clear the Jam in his Springfield if he wished to use it (an Equipment Repair roll of 10....a TECH attribute skill) and everybody, minus Gurung and Wolf-boy are about 100 yards from each other....

Tucker will realize it will take him to long to clear his rifle.

He takes the strap and puts it across his body and pulls his 45 and begins running towards the rear of the two big guys.

As he does he expends will to become invisible.

Acme

Marvin ducks and dodges as he races for Doc. Once he gets there, he'll do everything he can to save him. (Uses a luck point)

Dusk; December 2, 1942; Tunisian Desert near German Airbase outside of Sfax, North Africa

The battle between teams of Allied and Axis Talents continued to rage in the dying light of day on a small airbase in North Africa....

LT Marvin Acme raced across the airbase, zigging and zagging as he desperately made his way towards the fallen form of 'Doc' Franklin; but just as he got close, he suddenly felt his entire mind seem to suddenly 'catch fire' and he collapsed to his knees and howled in pain as a German in the uniform of an SS Captain came around the corner of the far hangar with a Lugar pistol in one hand and the other raised out and pointing towards the American Marine Officer. A moment later, an arrogant, heavily accented voice burst inside Marvin's head, even though the German Talent never opened his mouth and kept that smug smirk on his mug the whole time. The poor, bloody form of Franklin also raised a blood stained hand to his head and Marvin could tell he was 'hearing' the man in his mind as well......

'Typical arrogant Amerikaners....zinking you could just waltz onto ze base and destroy our special plane.....NEIN you fools....and now you rush to help zis sub-human? Mein Gott, you fools have gotten desperate......well, no need to worry....your part in zis war is over now...."; and he begins to raise his Lugar to shoot Acme where he's kneeling in the sand. At that moment, Franklin rises up, revealing that his other hand had pulled a grenade and primed it and his bloody hand left his head and grabbed the Nazi officer's hand holding the Lugar and pulled him real close with desperate, dying strength. "Well, THIS sub-human is taking your Aryan a$$ to hell you Kraut piece of sh#t.....so think on THAT in your last moments!" and he forcefully kept the grenade right against the German's middle and moved his body in between the German's and Acme's right before the blast messily took them both out and Marvin was free of pain again*.....

Tucker and Dutch came out of the Black Sphere and each took a different action; but both faced off against the pair of German Supers known as 'Odin' and 'Shieldman'.....

Dutch fell to the ground, lined up on Shieldman and cut loose the last 5 round burst from his Bren Gun and watched as his rounds slammed into the heavy metal Shield of the Uber and caused him to duck down behind it. Then his weapon clicked empty and the American Marine KNEW he'd have to swap out clips here in a hurry as HOPEFULLY he had just given his buddy time to get into position....

Tucker meanwhile slung his jammed Springfield around his back and drew his .45 Smith and Wesson Revolver as he simultaneously called on his innate Power and a moment later he felt himself 'vanish' from sight as he moved to get into a position about 25 yards away and flanking the 'Shieldman' to have a position to fire without the massive slab of steel in the way.....**

Roker took aim with his M1 Garand at the Nazi werewolf, but in a flash of lights and snarls and howls/yips of pain, Gurung and the German talent came together in a fierce melee and the Sailor raised his rifle without firing a shot and instead barked out a curse...

'Mac' Mac MacCrae emerges from the globe of black light with a Gaelic war-cry on his lips and a heavy hunk of metal from the demolished '88' in his super strong arm and he heaves it with massive force at the German 'Odin' Talent with the eye-patch and spear in his hands. As the large metal missile was in the air; the German Talent spun away from Shield man and leveled his spear at the Scotsman and cut loose a beam of orange-light that slammed into and thru the bearded Commando, causing him to stiffen up and fall drunkenly in a heap a moment before the metal object slammed into 'Odin' with enough force to shatter most of the bones in his body and turn him into a bloody pulp. He may have named himself after a God...but he most certainly was NOT immortal....

Gurung and the Nazi werewolf charged each other, blades in hand and both slashed out and connected with the other. The werewolf twisted away and avoided a killing blow, but he wasn't quite quick enough to dodge the purplish-lit blade entirely and he yipped in pain as blood and fur was cut away from his middle. In return though, his dagger stabbed into Gurung with enough force to puncture the armored scales and cause the Gurkha to hiss in pain as well, even though part of the tip of the dagger broke off from contact with the rock-like scaly armor protecting his skin. The two Talents warily circled each other; both bleeding....both still anxious to land the telling blow on their foe.....

OOC: Okay, Gurung and Werewolf are both wounded, both in melee range of each other......Odin is KIA, as are Doc and 'Mind Blaster'.....Mac is at LEAST WIA...status unknown right now.......Tucker and Dutch are 25 yards away from Shieldman.....Tucker is Invisible and BELIEVES the German Talent doesn't know he's there as the shield is NOT protecting him from Tucker....Dutch has the Shield facing him and his Bren's clip is empty....Acme is about 50 yards from everybody and 'okay' at the moment.....he'll be at -1D for a round due to residual effects from the 'mind fire'....but he's okay

Roker howls in indignation that someone is facing off against the enemy wolfman and it's not him—and then just howls as he changes back into wolfman form and runs at top speed toward the melee.

Acme

Marvin stays kneeling for a few moments while he digests what just happened. "Mother Fu..." He stands and looks around to count targets. Acme focuses on the Shield and starts rushing towards him.
He empowers a rock and throws it at the shield, trying to pin the man down with explosions.

Night; December 2, 1942; Tunisian Desert near German Airbase outside of Sfax, North Africa

The sun slowly sank beneath the dunes of North Africa as the battle raged on a small German Airfield between a small Allied force and the air-base's defenders.....

Lights all around the base started to come on and alarm sirens began to ring out as night fell and the Germans on the base were now clearly aware that it wasn't just an air-raid...actual LAND TROOPS were attacking them....NONE of this registers in Rifleman's Gurung's mind as the scaled Talent slowly danced in a duel with a purple-glowing Kukri blade in one hand and his eyes never leaving those of a German Talent who had physically changed into a Wolfman and was wielding an SS dagger....

Gurung did his best to ignore the pain of his wound and he launched a vicious slice that just BARELY passed over the insanely agile German Talent's head as he ducked under the blow. In retaliation, the SS Uber tried to land a telling blow with his weapon, but it glanced off the hard scales and did nothing to the Gurkha warrior. Suddenly, both combatants' attention was grabbed by a lupine howl and the sudden appearance of yet ANOTHER wolf-man rushing towards them....this one in the uniform of a United States sailor.....

Fred 'Mediocre' Roker had no good shot at the Nazi SS Werewolf, so he slung his Garand Rifle over his shoulder and charged forward. Half-way thru the charge, he let loose an animal howl and his entire body morphed and changed....until he was a near twin to the German Werewolf Talent and he was pleased to see that the latter's attention was drawn to him as he charged to within 20 yards or so. His hackles were up, his eyes gleamed and his mouth was open and snarling.....

From behind the heavy shield, the German Uber known as 'Shieldman' knelt down and leaning around the edge, he took aim with his Lugar pistol and fired a pair of 9mm shots at 'Dutch' Van Horn. The American Marine heard the buzz-ing sound of a round zipping past his head and noted the puff of earth explode outward mere inches from his prone form; but his attention never wavered. He pulled a fresh, 30 round clip of .303 ammunition and slotted the clip into the magazine well on the top of his Bren LMG and worked the bolt to get the weapon ready to rock and roll.....

LT Marvin Acme; his mind still feeling a bit foggy from the Talent attack he had suffered just moments ago from the now, messily deceased German SS Captain thanks to the actions of the late 'Doc' Franklin; felt rage consume him as he trotted towards the German Uber holding the Shield and firing at Van Horn. Taking one of the three rocks he carried in a pouch; he willed his Talent Power into existence and charged the rock...turning it into a bomb. He hurled that weapon at his opponent and felt satisfaction when it exploded with a powerful flash of light against the heavy steel shield. The German Uber was blown backwards and flat on his back; his heavily damaged shield now just lying on the ground some 3-5 yards away and the man, alive, but clearly disoriented. That's when the sight and sound caught Acme's attention.....something he had never heard before, but which he KNEW was the sounds of these 'jet' engines. Looking over at the Hangar, he saw one of the new German 'Shrike' Planes starting to slowly taxi out of it and clearly getting ready to take off.....

Completely invisible, thanks to his Talent Power, Coastguardsman Elias Tucker drew on his OTHER Talent Power and managed to FOCUS all of his concentration on the Shieldman Uber; keeping his Revolver aimed on the man even as the blast from Acme's rock-grenade sent him reeling back and on the ground. The German Uber was shaken, but still up and in the fight as he started to rise; his Lugar pistol still gripped tight.....

OOC: Okay; Gurung and Roker are now in hand-to-hand range with the Werewolf Uber.......Tucker, Acme and Dutch are all about 20 or so yards from the Shieldman, who now has no shield......Acme is about 100 yards from the Jet; everyone else is about 125 yards away from it.....
