She starts explaining rather quickly. "A girl showed up, cast a light spell, and saw us. It sounds like another man was there also, and he shouted for help. And I, uh, summoned a bull. Accidentally."

"So that's me. How are you?" Luna takes a deep breath. "We have to go help, don't we?"

While Zahra wrestles with the unknown man, Draxon yanks the sword out from the scabbard before waving it around clumsily. The man pushes Zahra away from him long enough to get a word out. "IF YOU PUT THE SWORD DOWN AND BACK AWAY FROM ME, I WILL ALLOW YOU BOTH TO LEAVE!!!" Zahra notices him moving his hands around in a familiar manner, as if he is about to cast a spell. (you can both add a Save vs. Spells with a -1 on the roll along with your next actions) Then a loud growl is heard coming from the other side of the iron grates. Looking in that direction, you see a huge, ugly figure, and likely the cause of the stench in this hall, slowly coming out of the darkness.

After Lestadt closes the door again and attempts to move in closer, trying to calm the girl, she releases a second spell directly at him. This time the thief's limbs suddenly become rigid and unable to function, leaving him standing there like a human statue in a very precarious situation. She smirks at her success, answering the unmoving intruder. "Well, they do mean you harm. GUARDS!!!! GET OUT HERE AND ARREST THIS INTRUDER AT ONCE!!!!!" The nearest door bursts open again, revealing several armed orc guards who are about to join the fun in the hallway.

Ashley looks towards the direction of the noise, then back to the hallway Luna just exited. "You did WHAT? You summoned a BULL? And now you're suggesting we abandon Lestadt alone in there with a man, a girl, and a bull?" Looking like she might rush in behind the bull anyway, in order to save her faithful companion, you both suddenly spot torchlight and hear bootfalls on stone coming from beyond the hallway to the east. "Or......we could leave?" She seems willing to follow Luna's lead, whatever it may be.

"Lights!" She whispers and points. "Ok. We can't be surrounded, so we back away and let them pass, then engage. Right?"

Luna suggests backing into the lab room and spying on the newcomers who seem intent on charging up the back side of a bull.

Lestadt stands there with a permanant wince upon his normally stoic features, unable to move a muscle while the world seems to be closing in around him. The potion bottle that might have saved his life is still pressed tightly within his unmoving fingers.

Without their gear, Draxon and Zahra continue to physically engage the unknown man, despite the loud threat advancing behind them. As they pommel and punch at the enemy, Draxon hears the squeak of a gate opening just before he is grabbed by the head from a huge stinking hand that nearly covers his entire skull. The massive hand starts to squeeze, tightening around the wizards ears and face, causing a great deal of pain. 2 dam He hears a deep booming voice when he turns to face his enemy. "YOU COME WITH GRESS NOW! DROP SWORD! LEAVE PRETTY MAYOR AND MEAN FRIEND ALONE!" The massive brute seems to be trying to pull Draxon back towards the cell door where he came from.

Zahra uses her fist as a disruption to great effect, spoiling the mans spell that most assuredly would have ended this fight immediately. He looks towards the frozen in place Lestadt before turning his gaze back upon Zahra with an evil sneer on his face. "Nice uppercut, bitch. I didn't think you pious folk could do things like that. Let's see what else you got." As the man steps forward towards her, they both hear soft murmurings from the girl, still hidden around the next corner. Save vs. Spells, please.

After seeing the torchlight getting closer, Luna suggests they move back towards the lab to learn who else is about to join this party. They just get the torch beyond the doorway when two castle guards rush around the corner, run through the open doorway, before both yelling out loudly when the run smack dab into the ass end of a massive bull.

Draxon is violently thrown across the stinking cell floor, crashing into the next barred wall, now fading in and out of consciousness. There he sees at least three other huddled figures watching from distant cells, pitiful looking folk about the size of a gnome, a dwarf, and an elf.

After getting punched in his face a second time by the tenacious Zahra, the man smiles when he sees her suddenly flop over in a deep sleep. He commands the ogre to drag her unmoving body towards the cells, its door still hanging open slightly while Draxon waits inside.

Luna and Ashley sneak back up to the door where the guards just shrieked. Peeking inside, Luna sees a pair of guards with their backs to her, their open hands raised towards her bull in what looks like a silent standoff. Then Luna spots the Mayor she recently met with coming around the next corner, though for some reason she now looks about 25 years younger. Noticing their torchlight, the young looking Mayor locks eyes with her recent visitor before instantly starting another spell.

Ashley calls from hallway behind the action. “Are we going on the attack or what?”

Her confusion at the sight of the young Mayor lasts only for an instant. The dread that hovers over her now that she is exposed lasts longer.

"Charge!" She calls to the bull, directing it at the spell-casting Mayor. At the same time, she pulls her scimitar and slashes at the backside of a guard.

Draxon shakes off his dizziness, getting a better look at the back cells containing Carling, Redgrave, and Zap. The gnome appears to be in pretty bad health, and while the other two look fairly normal, they don't say anything to him. When he turns around again, he sees the massive ogre return to the still open cell with Zahra's sleeping form. He sets the cleric down onto the hard stone floor and stares into the eyes of Draxon. "CELLS GETTING FULL NOW! YOU TWO CAN STAY HERE WITH ME!" The unorthodox jailor holds one massive mitt out and nods at the sword in Draxon's hand.

Lestadt sees several armed and armored orcs rush out of the room he peeked into earlier, but there is currently nothing his unmoving self can do about them.

Luna commands her bullish furry buddy to charge at the young Mayor while she and Ashley attack the 2 guards from behind. As if it had been waiting for just such a moment, the huge bull charges the Mayor mid sentence, impaling her chest with one of its long horns and lifting her small body right up off the ground. It begins to shake its head, soliciting a terrible scream from the badly injured woman.

A skirmish between investigator and castle guard breaks out near the doorway, with Luna injuring one man with a lucky stab from behind. They both turn to intercept the female foes, neither of their counter attacks (or Ashley's) causing damage in the tight confines of the well lit hallway.

Then, everything around them suddenly goes completely and eerily silent.

Are Carling and Redgrave in the same cell? Are they behind a locked door and chained up or just behind a locked door?

Red and Carl are together in the next cell over, unchained but held behind another locked gate.

Zap is in another cell down the hall, by himself.

Draxon and Zahra are together in the first cell, along with the ogre jailor.

I will add a map to the update to make this a little easier.
