Everyone sits down, straps in and drivers change, the vehicle ascends and pulls into the grav garage.

As soon as the vehicle is inside the bay, Garett lifts the ship and starts closing the doors. She keeps their forward speed down to 50kph while they climb out with the doors in motion.

He quickly scans the vehicle's readouts, powers the contra-grav modules and thrusters, and lifts off. Resisting the temptation to “fly fancy” he takes the vehicle up with calm efficiency, heading directly into the open vehicle bay.

Hiro takes the offered cigar, thanking Marco. Retrieving the oxt-acetylene welding torch from Gunnar, Hiro uses it to light his cigar, offering to light the cigars of the others, before stashing the welding torch back on his belt.

Hiro asks for the package from Marco. If Marco hands over the treasure, Hiro will use the top of the Boarding Kit shipping container as a make shift table, setting the retrieved case on top and opening it. He does this in a manner so Sir Lt Dyvers, as well as all the crew and recruits, can witness the contents themselves (except Monte and Garrett, of course, who are busy piloting).

Hiro finds inside the case:

• a mix of cash, gold bullion and jewels worth 250KCr

• a set of documents of commercial value, including a deed to 4 acres on Gran, as well as 3 blank local Knighthoods, worth 150KCr

Hiro looks to the crew for a reaction, when he proposes to Sir Lt Dyvers "Let us say our cut will be 200KCr in cash and gold bullion?" Hiro waits for Sir Lt Dyvers response, leaning in so he can hear him speak over the noise of the armored grav vehicle's engine, cigar in his right hand, his left hand casually resting on the hilt of his dagger.

Hiro shares a cup, and enjoys the rest of the ride back to The Train to the Stars.

After arriving back at the ship, Hiro has Naddie relieve Gunnar of his duties babysitting Sir Lt Dyvers. "Same bit as before. Keep him in the passenger area. Have another recruit take the next watch after 4 fours. Rotate through as long as he is on the ship, awake or asleep. Call if there are any problems."

Lorraine had wrinkled her nose at the smell of cigars as she had NEVER enjoyed the aroma of anything people smokes, but did her best to keep that to herself and just politely decline the offer of one. She HAD happily accepted the drink and then when they were back aboard, she returned the rifle and moved to the turret she was directed too.

Would be fine with other Crew preferring to play shotgun besides Hiro. He can take the extra time to research info on the three named worlds, anything that might pique his interest beyond what is commonly known regarding them.

Then go over expected routines such as checking astrogation and navigation to them, fuel consumption expectations, any recent conditions nearby (solar flares, space pirates, rogue asteroids); the usual pre-journey planning ahead.

So he gets on the computers to make a few notes.

I ought to run some more checks on the Drives and the fuel system, I'm still finding my way around on this ship, but I'm fine with escort duty. Nice enough planet, this, I'd not mind seeing more of it.
