Re: What would YOU like to play or run? (Interest Catch-all)
Anyone know of any WFRP games going on? I have tried to get in 3 different games here and they always seem to fall through.
All things are possible through Magic.
Re: What would YOU like to play or run? (Interest Catch-all)
No. I have never played and thought I would give it a try but unfortunately it fell through.

Anyone tried The Yellow King weird horror RPG? It's based on the GUMSHOE system, which I also don't know. Bundle of Holding has a sale going.

I'm sure this'll come as a huge surprise to people , but I played this at an online convention a few years ago. It was enjoyable, and GUMSHOE is a decent system. I'd be willing to play it again at another convention.
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

I would like to run some Trilemma Adventures, using the Fail States RPG. Characters start with clothes and shoes and 20 shillings between cash and gear.

Anyone interested in the Numenera setting? I hate the Cypher system rules but would be glad to run the setting with Fail States.

I'd be really excited if someone was willing to run a SWN or WWN game that I could play in.
Re: What would YOU like to play or run? (Interest Catch-all)
I just bought Kaigaku, a samurai Japan-themed game based in SWN. Don't know if I'll ever play it (it was on deep discount sale). https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/pro ... nd-edition

Re: What would YOU like to play or run? (Interest Catch-all)
i often put them into whatever game i'm running
one of mt TORG GMs put one in his game
been thinking about adding a background focus tier to all players - a racial one - extra tier for existing plus a new one for humans
not familiar enough yet with the game - things like strain and effort

Re: What would YOU like to play or run? (Interest Catch-all)
Would anyone be interested in a holiday season cinematic swash-buckly not quite pirate game? We'd use the Scenario Simulator for guidelines, and it would be sort of like the old Pirates game by Sid Meir. Well, as whatever I can remember of that game, it has been a while. Maybe re-watch Pirates of the Carribean.
Rules would be basic 7th Sea (1st ed R&K); no magic, and no need to buy the rules. I'd explain things you need, although you are free to spend holiday funds if you like.
Post frequency: DM Moves things forward Sunday and Wednesday evening (US/Central time). Players can dialog or ask questions as often as they like.
Some of my previous holiday season games:
The Unknown Darkness
Imperial Gambit
The Absent Professor

Only if I can dance with the Governor's daughter and defeat Baron Raymondo in a duel ...
The Sid Meiers: Pirates was partly my inspiration for my Pirates: Cannon & Dragons campaign that I ran here before I took a health break.

I never got to the Governor's Daughter activity, or much past the ship board raiding. I did enjoy your game!
Not sure if you've tried 7th Sea, but it's a lot more cinematic. No real gritty darkness in the game, unless you really work for it. I don't, so...

I want in! I have to rescue my sad uncle (who doesn't have much charisma) from the shed on the hill.

It sounds like you guys have a lot more experience with the game; I never got off the ship. I'll see if I can give you a fun game anyway.
@jemmus, "Sword of the Samurai" was a later game, but mine always crashed. My PC wasn't very good, and this was in the early 90's.

Thanks, I'll check out Sword of the Samurai. $5.99 on GOG.com.
