Erillion OOC
Re: Erillion OOC
Sorry for being quiet everyone. I'm going to have drop out of this game. A couple of weeks ago my sister's husband pasted from cancer. A week later my wife's uncle passed from Lou Gerhig's disease. Between work and helping both families out I don't have the mental reserves to game at the moment. I have really enjoyed your game Lance so I don't make this choice lightly.

Re: Erillion OOC
This question brings up an interesting point: how immersive do you prefer your games? Should we strictly stick to observable facts (Like in Nym's case) or should I pull back the curtain and show you the numbers, as it were? What about effects that are not observable? Should they only be discussed when they come up? Or even then only hinted at?Bluetongue wrote: ↑Tue Mar 29, 2022 4:34 pm Apart from Weezel melting a goblet, has any of the other waters produced a tangible effect?

Re: Erillion OOC
I think characters who are affected should at least have some hint or clue to a change in their persona, physique or skills.
Re: Erillion OOC
I personally prefer that the Players only get the information that their Characters would have- like the effect Nym got from her last test of the waters.
I prefer my games' mechanics to be as transparent as possible. And to Bluetongue's point- yes, the affected Player should know if their Character has been affected. PM's are good for this, just like passed notes in a face-to-face game.

How you handled it with Nym is fine with me. I prefer personal forums over PMs as it is easier to keep track of what was said/happens (I get a lot of PMs). But PMs can work.

Alright, I will notify you in some private avenue if whatever effect any of you've received comes up.

Sorry for vanishing guys, I wanted to update yesterday but I work got in the way.
Re: Erillion OOC
No problem, still here.
Re: Erillion OOC
Likewise. As much as we'd like to be able to play all day, Real Life gets in the way.

Sorry about the further delays, I'm on vacation and don't have as much computer time as I hoped.
