Today's Meet the Publisher interview is with David Donachie and Paul Partington, authors with Red Ruin Publishing. They publish content (free!) for the Dragon Warriors rpg: https://www.thirdkingdomgames.com/post/ ... partington

Interesting read.

I have actively been consuming news and opinions about OSR 1.1. I really hope what has been exposed in the form of leaks so far turns out to be inaccurate, or outdated as Wizards/Hasbro recognized the firestorm they've incited and backtracked.

If not... D&D is going to suffer mightily.

Not just D&D. This has the potential to cripple the industry. The companies that'll be hit with a 25% royalty fee will likely have to stop selling anything that would apply, since that is a ridiculous number. Smaller companies and individual creators may be hesitant since they can lose the rights to their hard work at any time.

In fact, it's already starting. Robert Schwab, creator of Shadow of the Demon Lord and former designer for D&D, is going to pull his 5e work from the market.

Tweet from Schwalb Entertainment:
66% off 5e products from Schwalb till Friday, when they go away forever! drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/878…
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.
