I'll wait and see how our GM wants me to go with it the way I took it was 7+1 = 8 halved = 4

Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
Correct but I only leveled up one class the other already had leveled to 2 long ago.

Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
As long as got the 0.5 point Con bonus last time it works.
We "fixed" multi-classing years ago so that you always level up at the same time in all classes, You just don't split xp you change what you need by adding the requirements together. Math is the same it just means you always level up at the same time. Then you can just adjust the HD so a thief/fighter would be a d8 instead of rolling a 10 and 6 and averaging.

Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
For my games I always have players record fractions so they don't lose them later. Kind of like heart-piece containers in LoZ games, haha

Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
That works too, a better option than trying to recall what you did last time. I also have played where we had to record our rolls for each level/class. Another reason why when I want to run a D&D based game I am using only Hyperborea now. No multi-classing, but all the possible combos are there own class.
Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
In the previous 2E games I ran, I only ever had one multi-class character and she was an Wizard/Thief. And we handled it the way GreyWolf has done it. Rounding up is my preference rather than trying to track half points. So in my view you are good to go as is GreyWolf.
I always thought about house ruling separate classes for each of the multis but since I only had the previous one player do it, I didn't pursue that.

Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
Hi everyone, and thank you for the warm welcome.
I have some days off during the holidays, so in-between mulled wine and bliss and twinkling lights, I've been grabbing the opportunity to read through the different threads. And what an amazing game and cast of characters you have here! My hat is off to you all, and I am really happy to have a chance to participate.
Merry Christmas!

Belated Merry Christmas everyone!
Welcome Edeldhur!
Thanks for the XP Revenant!
The fam and I are coming down with a cold or something... we went out to public places too much I guess.... but the Nutcracker and Tournament of Kings (Xmas Edition) were worth it.

On our end we managed to grab a staging of 'A Christmas Carol' and 'Love Actually' played with a live symphony orchestra - pretty good.
Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
We're leaving on an unplanned trip tomorrow morning. Spur of the moment family new year's party out of state so we won't be back till late Monday.
