Southern Club, New Chicago
8:50 PM Local Time – Tuesday, June 16th, 1987

The team has wrapped up at the Southern Club and manages to get out of there just ahead of the press. If anyone wants to stop and talk to the press that is always an option. The team has a few open questions to talk among yourselves, a partial list:

• Leader or No Leader?
• Room Assignments?
• Any follow-up you want to do from this "interaction"?
• Who were those supers?
• What happened to the aides?
• Were the aides the target?
• What was the meeting about?
• Planning for the Press Conference on Friday

As the group is leaving, Azir gets a message from the front desk of the club, "Please call Mr. McGinley - ASAP."

Eclipse suggests they avoid any journalists and return to base to debrief.

When (if) the request from McGinley is mentioned he adds that maybe they should speak to him before they leave, if the club will allow them to use a private phone.

Agreed, we should avoid the journalists. Once they debrief she will head somewhere she can safely change outfits and then head home discreetly.

If they don't speak to McGinley at the club he will call when they get back to base

The Club will be happy to let you use a private conference room for six just near the front door to make a call if that is the team's desire.

Eclipse suggests we take the immediate opportunity to contact McGinley, but warn him the line might not be secure.

"Thank you for the note on the potential non-secure line. Crusaders, I will keep this brief. Congratulations on keeping the Vice President Bush and Prime Minister Mulroney safe while there are lots to talk about and do look forward to your reports I do need to inform you that our press conference for Friday, has been pushed up to tomorrow. Unless you have a time change request, it will be at 11 AM tomorrow. I just wanted to let you know as soon as I heard and get the time confirmed."

Please note that this is a game, I am not creating a report that you will have to fill out. You can give as little "I tell them everything that happened" or as much detail as you like. This will be a quick place to look up at see your impressions that you wish to record.

"Sounds like 2 PM tomorrow we can make it work in the lobby of the John C. Kluczynski Federal Building. Sorry about moving up the time, but obviously the press is clamoring for something after tonight and I did warn it you could come early if you see some action. Just to remind you the boilerplate press release has the group name which I think I understand is "the Crusaders" and did you come to a decision on the leader? What rules (if any) do you want to have in effect or just a panel answering questions from the media? I want to protect the best I can, but unlike Dos Seso I cannot read your mind.", he jokes.

Eclipse looks at the others

"As for questions, I believe we decided on no more than two questions per journalist and the session is limited to a maximum of 10 minutes. We haven't decided on a leader yet, but we are planning to return to base immediately to debrief and we can decide that and let you know as soon as we have"

The team finishes the call and each in their own fashion heads back to the base of operations. Feel free to discuss as you would like.

"We ought to answer the leader question..."

I was thinking that to help speed things along everyone should to answer the following:
1. Do you vote that the group has a leader
2. Do you put yourself forward for the leader position

My answers:
1. Yes
2. Yes

Then depending on the answers to the above, we can determine who is our first leader. We could either vote, or we could each roll a die and the order low to high (or visa-versa) determines the order of leadership

Obviously, if you want to do things differently than above, just say.
