OOC Chat
Re: OOC Chat
KL is hoping to keep the elemental engaged for a bit. It'd be nice to solve the problem without combat, but I'm not sure if any of the PCs have magical or extraplanar skills and knowledge. If so, speak up!
If nothing else, keeping the elemental engaged gives McGinley time to get the civilians off the island and hopefully away from danger.

Re: OOC Chat
Umbra has a knowledge skill of world mythology but not magic. We need a bonobo wizard!
Re: OOC Chat
True! Where did Oleander go? I wonder if we could get his advice? If we think that's possible, KL would mention it to the elemental.
Re: OOC Chat
Well, we've seen the Elemental's attitude, and it is aware of life and death. So we know it's a jerk and can be killed.
Re: OOC Chat
The question now is how.
Re: OOC Chat
IIUC, KL can't do anything yet, since it's Phase 2. He can't really act until Phase 3.
Re: OOC Chat
Now might be a good time to go over how teamwork works again. How do we declare the action, and what happens if someone fails the teamwork roll?
Re: OOC Chat
The original teamwork post is here.
Is teamwork limited to two people?
If not, then I assume if someone fails their roll then it doesn't adversely affect those that did pass?
I'm just thinking: is there any downside to all those attacking rolling teamwork? (although Eclipse and Umbra only have the basic 8- level).

Re: OOC Chat
It is not limited to two people, there is no theoretical limit.
If someone fails it doesn't adversely affect those that did pass. If zero or one people pass there is no benefit.
The only downside, is that everyone MUST attack at the same time (of the lowest DEX / Initiative or later) of the people doing the teamwork.

Re: OOC Chat
Guys, I'm thinking those of us attacking just plow in there together and try some teamwork.
Re: OOC Chat
Agreed.
Re: OOC Chat
KL is going to Force blast the thing, and he'll coordinate with whomever. We do have comms.
Re: OOC Chat
Maybe the comms would give us a bonus to Teamwork?
Re: OOC Chat
I will get an update out on this tomorrow.
Re: OOC Chat
How much "mystical" knowledge do we have in the group? I know the new guys have stuff we haven't explored heavily, but that and mentalism seem to be a weakness for the team.
Re: OOC Chat
None really.
Umbra knows a bit about world mythology. We could contact Oly and see if he can give us any pointers.
We might get something out of the Demon agents.
It is definitely a weakness of the group.

Re: OOC Chat
Not much. Grimm probably should have something but I didn't think of it at the time so something for him to work on.
Re: OOC Chat
We could use Oleander as a resource while Grimm brings his skill up. Especially since DEMON seems to be active in the story-line.
Re: OOC Chat
That seems our best option for now.
