Basilisk Hills Compiled Kickstarter

#1 Post by thirdkingdom »

I'm gearing up to run another Kickstarter, this one for a compiled book of the seven hexes that make up the Basilisk Hills hex cluster. There will be an optional 98 hex add-on sandbox that expands the region, and backers can pledge for the compilation of the seven hexes, the add-on hexes, or the combined Ultimate edition.

The preview page can be found here:

Good luck thirdkingdom!
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

I've uploaded the 75% complete (but unedited and unformatted) manuscript for the supplemental hexes to Drivethru.

It will be roughly 150 pages, detailing 98 hexes surrounding the main Basilisk Hills cluster.

In preparation for the upcoming Basilisk Hills Compiled Kickstarter I've put one of the hexes that will be included in the book on sale for 75% off (a mere 74 cents!):

The Basilisk Hills Hexcrawl Region is now live on Kickstarter. It has three pledge options:

1. The original seven 6-mile hexes in the Basilisk Hills cluster, each with 24-30 pages of content including lairs, features, new classes, rules for founding clerical temples, researching spells, ritual magic, and much more. About 150 pages of material.

2. An additional 98 hexes filled out in broad strokes and less detail than the original cluster, but featuring multiple dungeons, lairs, and more. About 150 pages of material.

3. A compilation of the compiled and supplemental hexcrawl material into a single, roughly 300 page hexcrawl region.

One week left in the Basilisk Hills Compiled Kickstarter and we just hit the second "more art" stretch goal, which means ten more illustrations for the Supplemental and Ultimate books!

Not that it matters, but are the print (hardcover) versions of this in the A5 paper size like many/most OSE products are?

No, I'm doing 8-1/2 x 11. The hexmaps just work better in the larger format.
