This game relies on "paper clips on your character sheet" to track a lot of things. I want to experiment with copiable header-text that we can use in a story to track and communicate-forward these trackers throughout an adventure thread. Let's try those out here. We can then copy and use the ones we like.

I wonder if it would be easier just to post our various tracker values here and update that single post. The header will need to be changed every time they update anyway, in addition to being copied into every adventure post.

Challenge Ranks: troublesome (3 boxes), dangerous (2 boxes), formidable (1 box), extreme (X), epic (\)

Current progress tracks should probably be copied into each post, at least for ones expected to be resolved within a session (combat, low-ranked expeditions, etc.) Maybe we can add in the various Condition Meters, Momentum, etc. for an adventure header.

Oh wow! I'm impressed at you getting tables and blocks to appear!

I would prefer not doing it consolidated here - the progress and trackers will all fluctuate throughout each story and I'd rather we copy the header into the posts so that status of it at that part of the story is clear.

As we're playtesting, I'm more interesting in a record of the iterative change throughout a tale told in a thread than I am about the master copy of current-state.

Thoughts?

I think a lot of the tracks will need to stay with the action thread. Are you thinking of all of the trackers in each thread, though? What all do you want to see replicated?

My thoughts on what ought to be in the adventure threads:
  • Momentum, including Max and Reset
  • Condition Meters (Health, Spirit, Supply)
  • Any active Impacts
  • Progress tracks that come up in play (outside of Legacies)
Are you thinking of any others? Legacies and such I was planning on only tracking on the character sheet (though I would note in the adventure threads when something major changed).

Nice. You won't need Expedition in general; I have it because I set off on an unmarked path.
