All of you heard about the Isle of Irongate, A place where great wealth and terror can be found, a untapped land that has been recently settled, while plenty of fey and other types being long residents. However for whatever reason, perhaps to seek adventure, perhaps as a prisoner being exiled, you found yourself headed to the City of Irongate. However storms blew off your ship(s) so they landed in the small hamlet of Pell.
Now Pell is a nice enough place, there is a general store, a blacksmith, a small marketplace to trade goods. A inn where one can dry your bones by the fire. In the Inn you start to hear tales...that there is weird going on's in the dismal swamp, that the Ratmen up north are building something grand, some say its a temple, some say its a fortress, That in the caves under the spire that there is something calling itself the Skeleton King, and is charging tolls to merchants headed up from Irongate.
Of course, there is Irongate, a bustling city of wonder, in the arena fortunes (and lives) are won and lost, the Wizard Guild/college holds court, The Iron Hills are rich with treasure, but untamed, and there is whispers of something out in the great empty, or perhaps people are just worried that its been TOO quiet out in the desert.
