There is a pause and then Garrett responds: "um, right, I'm on my way. Fusion Turret.

Down by the air lock the three stop at about 10 feet; In a bland orange top with dark demin pants on the left, a pistol and a long curved blade on his hip, hand over the pistol looking like a gunfighter of old. In the center wearing a a grey jumpsuit carrying a boarding pike** and throwing knives and on the right a black t-shirt and ballistic vest with cargo pants and she is porting a auto-rifle with a banana clip but finger is not on the trigger, though she is carrying it in a military manner.

Hiro, you look up and see the gatling laser, it wont pierce anything on the ship, but might beat up some of the sensors on the side, its primarily a set anti personnel weapon, and with the smaller ship (about 80 tons) the laser weapon can angle down towards you unless you get under the belly or behind the leg of your ship.

'Boarding Pike' "You admit to taking our ore, Sam will be nice, he figgures you made about 6K, we will take 3K in cash and call it even, some for you, some for us and we wont call a tribunal assizes."

Auto rifle:"Seems fair."

The gatling laser moves back and forth and with a great groan the fusion gun exercises and aims at the gatling laser.
Garrett uses the target camera of the Fusion weapon to get a picture of a top down view of the gatling laser and the gatling gunner looking up with big eyes like a cat.

Over the Comm, This is Sam, you heard our offer. What say you?"

When asked, she nods -- "I can do the talking. No worries." She crushes the empty bulb in her small hand, perhaps intending it to be a symbol. "Taking their ship. On my to-do list", she says, as she winks and heads to the airlock, where she is somewhat releived to see GUnnar waiting. "Let's hope we don't need that," she says, nodding at his gun.
Gunnar Thunarssen gives a quick smirk, "It's what i do."

Dev picks up the comm, and says hello to Sam. Her voice is warm and bubbly, but it seems confused.

"I think there's a misunderstanding. We left you the racehorses and the pack animals. Isn't that what your agreement states? I suggest your problem is with the shipper, not with us. The animals are worth five times the amount you are asking for, easily. But we're just the cleaning and delivering this ship right now. If you have an issue with its use, I suggest you reach out to the ship owner. Thanks for your help!"

"I hope that's enough loose strings to at least delay them, or fluster them. We won't be muscled," Dev says to the crew.

Dev said;
That evening, Dev is happy to accompany Hiro to the Tunnels. He's quiet, she thinks, but the thought quickly leaves her head when the dancing begins. He might not be wanting to attract attention, but Dev wants to move, and to be seen. Dev makes it back to the ship (whether Hiro had stayed the full evening or not isn't fully clear, but she has no headache this morning.

Hiro smiles, seeing Dev enjoy herself dancing. Hiro spends the evening searching for scraps of information and then sticks around long enough to escort Dev home back to the ship.

Dev said:
She's sucking on a juice bulb when the visitors arrive. Hiro's voice sends her to the airlock, and she ifnds her self obeying the order before she thinks to be indignant about it.

Hiro oblivious to Dev's indignant reaction, stands near the airlock outer door, watching Sam's three goons.

Dev said;

Gunnar said:
Gunnar Thunarssen gives a quick smirk, "It's what i do."

Hiro gives Gunnar a nod, a little less nervous seeing the engineer prepared for trouble.

Hiro holds his hands at ease, relaxed, ready to draw either his flechette pistol or sword, noting what weapons Gunnar and Dev are carrying, and wishing he had not left his "boarding suit" on his yacht. Standing in a relaxed manner, he keeps his head on a swivel, insuring there are no surprise threats sneaking up on them, noting how far away the thugs are, how they have spaced themselves, any dead zones in the gatling guns coverage, and how far away the other ship is.

Several things happen in order.

Sam speaks a bit louder. "Those beasts are just a trans shipment, no money in those. You arrived yesterday, new to the area, and broke into my shipping business. Your nothing but poachers....

At this time You hear Garrett on the radio say, "Uh guys there is someone, ah, else in the turret.

You see the Female look over her shoulder and turn back and start diving forward, the pikeman a second behind her.

Sam ... that are taking food, what , whats going on up there....."

Garrett. "Hes taking the turret and...

BBBBRRRRRRTTTTTTTTT, The full flash and noise of a full auto gatling laser firing very close the the heels of the three, the pikeman has dived for cover, the pistol man is standing dumbfounded it seems.

From the gatling turret, a male yells down: "Hold fast or you'll regret it!" then he looks up at the Fusion gun and yells "Notify your crew of these hoodlums, and step on it!"

There is a pause.

Garrett"They are fighting in the turret

Sam: "WTF, Rue, check on Weasel see why he fired. And at us no less. Damn "<click>

At that time a man falls out of the gatling turret to the side on to the ground with a 'Uff", he seems to land decently taking the fall on his forearms and legs, no apparent broken limbs.

Garrett: ".. I think the original gunner is on the deck.

Actions?

Henri has turned east a bit, we will get rain and wind and possibly lose power later, better than 12 hours age of it passing over our garage.

Hiro steps in front of Dev, facing her, his back to the three thugs and the gunfire, his right arm tucked across, an effort to protect his sword arm, his left hand reaching back behind his head, protecting his neck and one side of his head. Hiro is unable to also protect Gunnar, but hopes that his combat experience will lead him to seek cover.

Like all automatic weapons, the Gatling Laser has a danger space, the region beyond the target where the beams are still quite dangerous. This danger space can extend hundreds of meters, for larger weapons, like the Gatling Laser.

Luckily the Gatling Laser is being fired at a steep downward angle, with the beams expending most of their energy downward, into the hard surface of the starport landing pad. But, the energy of the beams have to go somewhere, heating the landing pad surface, causing melting or spalling, fragments of the tarmac surface spray upward, reflecting upward at a near equal angle to the beam path, peppering into the backs of the three thugs and into Dev, Gunnar and Hiro. Hiro hopes his actions managed to shield Dev and himself from the worst of it, and that Gunnar was able to get to cover.

Once the gunfire stops, Hiro takes a breath and composes himself, looking to see is any of his crew were injured.

If any of his crew is significantly injured, he gets everyone inside and seals the outer airlock doors.

If everyone is mostly okay, he catches Dev's eye, winks and willfully puts a relaxed expression on his face, ready to sell the lie that the crew expected the Gatling fire.

Hiro turns back around, re-taking his position next to Dev, saying to her "Sorry, I doubted you. That worked like a charm!" with a pleased grin on his face, an effort to sell the lie. He continues, to Dev, "I guess it is time for you to explain to them how it is...", gesturing towards the three thugs and the other ship.

Gunnar Thunarsson drops prone and rolls as the gatling laser starts to fire, drawing his own weapon in the process and aiming it at anyone attempting to draw closer to their ship.

Seeing the former gunner dealt with, and the 3 approaching opponents scattered, Monte nodded, approving his handiwork. Uncertain how to proceed, he kept the tripod mounted GL trained on the 3 enemies. His head on a swivel, he surveyed the area looking for targets, or some response from the *Working Girl's* Crew.

Dev is grateful for Hiro's protection, and she happily takes it, as the firing starts. She thinks she saw someone fall from the turret -- is there even supposed to be an opening there, she wonders? The comm is still in her hand as she stands shielded by the bulkhead and her pilot.

And he's laughing! He's actually enjoying this, her disbelief is balanced by her sudden confidence in him. Amidst the confusion, she wonders where the others are, if they're safe. She speaks into the comm, broadcasting outside the ship:

"Ceasefire now, or we retaliate with full strength. Your lives are surely worth more to you than a few thousand credits. Low-Port Marshals are on the way. Surrender, flee, or die."

Monte heard a female voice broadcast over Comms, and scratched his head. *Was she addressing him?* He replied, his burr coming out as he spoke..."This is Lieutenant Monte Scott, I'll keep 'em covered for ye. Fire held unless they try anything, and Lassie..." he added "I find staring down multiple barrels humbles mos' folk. So who might ya be? Are ye the Captain o' tha Working Girl?"

Over the communications channel, Monte said:
."This is Lieutenant Monte Scott, I'll keep 'em covered for ye. Fire held unless they try anything, and Lassie..." he added "I find staring down multiple barrels humbles mos' folk. So who might ya be? Are ye the Captain o' tha Working Girl?"

Hiro hears the communication between Dev and Monte over his personal radio, but chooses to let Dev handle it, instead opting to act incredibly foolishly by trusting this unknown, "Monte", trusting him to actually hold his fire. Hiro knows the three are probably still rattled from the Gatling fire, and decides to press them further, not giving them a chance to recover and think through the matter.

Hiro draws his weapons, flechette pistol in his left hand, sword in his right, speaks to Gunnar, "You heard her. Surrender, flee or die.". Putting a stern expression on his face, an expression that suggets he is perfectly willing to kill the thugs, he starts forward, secretly hoping that the three thugs morale breaks and they flee.

If they actually stand their ground, Hiro will use the point of his sword, not touching the thugs, but held in a threatening enough manner to make clear that he is willing to use it if they advance or raise their weapons, whether melee or firearms.

Devereaux nods at Hiro, thanking him, and again hopes the rest of the crew are okay.

Even if the call from Monte was on a private channel, she'll answer on the open broadcast for all to hear.

"Nice to meet you Lieutenant. As I told these three stupid men, it's not our ship. They don't know who they're talking to, or the mistakes they are making. Really, I'm glad I'm not in their shoes."

It appears that the dumbfounded pistol bad guy had took some splash in the back of his legs and is bending down to rub them.

The two others had landed in a mostly ready position, the polearmsman reaching for his belt.

Hiro draws his sword and commands, the shot from the stunner hitting the tarmac in front of them, waves rush towards them. This causes Pistol guy to run, moral broken.

Monte: Looking around you see nothing besides what you have been told, but, below you thru the slit of a partially closed hatch below you, you see a mop of black and grey curly hair just starting to climb the ladder, in the left hand is a pistol, she will be able to do something in 2 rounds. You are standing on the ship side of a small airlock that is set on a hook, partially open, the exterior door of the airlock is flooped fully open behind you

The bad guy thrown over the ship by Monte stands up slowly holding his right shoulder and arm, hes looking around.

Over the 'Working Girl' speakers you hear "Alright, stay on your side of the pad. Com'on Troops."

The 'Working Girl' thruster begin to wind up, but not high enough to counteract gravity.

Rifle woman stands, taking her finger off the trigger but leaving it ready to fire, helps the polearmsman up and starts backing up watching the three of you.

The ex-turret hears the engines and bolts for a ship entrance.

Still over Comms, Lieutenant Scott said Lass, it appears I've got unwanted company up here abovedecks. Gonna drop on her like a stone. Seeya inside. Scott Out!
He removed the headset, and quickly prepared to drop in on his guest from above, nevermind the fact that the 'Working girl' was lifting off to boot!
He timed his attack carefully, so as to do his best to catch the approaching salt and pepper-haired crewlady as opportunistically as possible.

Roll [2d6+2]=7+2=9 To hit her just right.

Roll [2d6+2]=6+2=8 To land below her with reasonable dexterity.

Dev does not want to involved in the rest of the fight -- she is unarmed, and she feels she has broken the morale. Plus, the cavalry has arrived.

But there are people on the ship. "How did they get aboard?" she asks to no one in particular, and starts heading to the bridge.

Though a bit exposed Hiro stands at the bottom of the entry ramp to the airlock, a determined expression on his face.

His flechette pistol still in his left hand, his right hand still holding his sword ready to execute a stop thrust, Hiro will block any hostiles from boarding "The Circus" or closing on Gunnar, and rely upon Gunnar to provide covering fire to protect Hiro from any firearm threats. Hiro will stand this position, waiting until Dev is ready to act on the bridge, waiting until Gunnar gives him the signal to close the airlock, and waiting to see what action the unnamed person who manned the Gatling laser takes.
