Chapter 02: Aquifers & anaglyphs

Korin stays close but not too close to Tiny. "I got yer back lad."

Tiny

peers inside the half-open door. His infravision does not register any living entities inside - but to actually see what's in the dark room, some light source will be needed.

[Rex]

Tiny

"Nothing I can see, can someone bring up the torch?"

[Gebex]

Eaton

Give Tiny a torch. I would have done it myself if I had a few more.

[sastaz]

Thorelf walks up to Tiny to light up the room for him.

[Nordbo]

Tiny and Thorelf see a 15'x25' room (with a 15' high ceiling), crammed full of garbage intermixed with rusty and warped instruments of torture.

[GreyWolfVT]

Korin whom had a torch at one point, was about to dig another one out to hand to Tiny when Thorelf beats him to it. "Ah multitaskin little buggers aint they?"

Does it look like there are any other exits from the room?

[Nordbo]

Does it look like there are any other exits from the room?

None that you can see.

[Rex]

Tiny

"Should we search it or just keep moving?"

[GreyWolfVT]

Korin looks at the room trying to determine if there is any path way around the trash and other items in the room by moving into the doorway just enough to get a better "lay of the land".

[Nordbo]

The garbage and rusty items are in different piles, with empty floorspace in patches inbetween. So one could step around the junk in several places - it looks like someone has been rummaging through the various heaps, tearing out items that might come in handy for torturing flapping creatures.....

Thorelf

"Maybe we should talk about what we are doing here? Do we want to get involved or not? Or do we just want to get out of here? I'm not even really sure where we are."

While the others answer, Thorelf starts checking the room to see if there's anything interesting in it. Anything valuable, intriguing, or even anything that could give us a hint as to where we are.

Korin shrugs "Dunno, all I know is I want me weapons back an I want outta this place. But if there be evil afoot I'm gonna give it a swift kick in the arse while I'm ere."

[Gebex]

Eaton

I agree with Korin. Even if the main goal is to get out, we have a great use of getting our weapons that we all long for. With our weapons we have a better chance to fight our way out. If we can get some cultist to that would be great.

Eaton ponder quietly for a short while.

It would be great if we can get the bald cultist that we met before. The gods has showed signs that it is important that we get him, if we can. I think that one of this signs was that I couldn’t heal Tiny better. They are not pleased… This place is truly eerie.

[sastaz]

Thorelf while rummaging through stuff.

"Yes, our dead comrades are worthy of revenge."

[Rex]

Tiny

Tiny will search for anything useful. Starting at the entrance and working the outside edge going clockwise.

[Nordbo]

Faced with another room full of junk,

Thorelf

starts searching the stuff. It does not take long before he locates a vial with a light blue, almost ethereal liquid in it.

Korin

holds watch outside, as does

Eaton

they both agree on short and long term goals for their way ahead and hopefully out.

Tiny

goes through another pile that Thorelf hasn't reached yet, and pulls out an ancient piece of parchment. It seems to be a map (see image):

Tiny

"Hey I found something, I think someone doodled on this." He hands it to the closest party member.

[sastaz]

Thorelf shows the vial to Eaton.

"Eaton, do you recognize this liquid? It seems right down your alley."

Then hearing what Tiny said.

"Hey, let me have a look at that. Hmmmm.... that down there" he points with a dirty finger at the lower part of the map "certainly looks like the three towers with the wall, where we rested, innit."
