Character Descriptions

#1 Post by DaveRollingDice »

Is there a character description anywhere for everyone? If not could we all post it here, I would like to get a better visual idea of what everyone looks like.
If it is okay with DM Hedge, I added a separate thread on this to make it easier to find.

To be added . . .

Yarl Blacktongue
Half Orc

Yarl is tall and well muscled with short black hair and beard. He doesn't wear a cloak or make any effort to hide his racial heritage. His green-grey skin and protruding tusks mark him as half orc. He wears dark studded leather that fits him like a second skin. The armor protects his shoulders, torso and part of his thighs. His exposed skin shows scars on his arms, chest and face. He wears dark pants and thick boots. His only adornment is a simple looking ring on his right hand. The handle of a large maul can be seen sticking out over his left shoulder. The maul is in a sling across his back, ever ready to be taken out. Attached to his thick leather belt he has a short sword on his left hip and a bone knife on his right. He often uses the bone knife to carve designs into whatever club he is holding.

Lesh, Lizardfolk 3rd Level Death Domain Cleric

He is a few inches over 6 ft tall and weighs just over 225 lbs. His scales are green, and he has orange markings and crest. He wears simple breeches and a X-shaped leather harness (like crossed bandoliers) with a small breastplate bearing the badge of Kelemvor, a skeletal arm holding up scales in balance, on a metal disc wrought in steel (a material for lower clergy). His cloak is trimmed in werewolf fur and he wears a necklace of small animal skulls. His weapons include, a blowgun, whip, pouch, and Macuahuitl on his belt and harness along with several javelins on his back. He carries a shield made from the shell of a large turtle-like animal. He speaks strangely and not often, preferring gestures, clicking sounds, and the occasional grunt. He is not well versed in etiquette and social expectations.

A macuahuitl is a wooden sword with obsidian chips embedded in both sides to act as blades. The spacing of the chips varies but are often close together and produce a sharpness beyond that of many metal swords. Unfortunately, the primitive making of the blade would result in the chips breaking off occasionally (i.e. at DM discretion). It has carvings, possibly magical ones, along the wooden part of the weapon. It was reputed that when used correctly, one could decapitate a horse with one swing using a macuahuitl.
Macuahuitl from (TftYP p70)
Martial weapon (longsword), melee weapon
3 lb. 1d8 slashing - versatile (1d10)
You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this longsword, which is made of laminated wood, and inset with jagged teeth of obsidian. It deals an extra 2d6 damage to any creature of the plant type. This weapon can be used with one or two hands.

Oak

#5 Post by dmw71 »

Oak
Still resides in Rivington, where he lives two blocks away from his parents, with whom he is still extremely close.

His family owns and operates Baldur's Boats, a shipbuilding/repair business in Rivington, serving the heavily trafficked River Chionthar.

A member of the shipwright guild in Baldur's Gate where he trained under his human father, Carlin, a master in the craft. He can also make simple repairs to clothing and soft materials after being informally trained by his elven mother, Hem, a tailor and sailmaker in her husband's shipbuilding and repair business. She is also a part-time chimney sweep at the Old Mill.

Oak still lends his own shipwright skills to the family business... less frequently of late, however, as he is reluctantly starting to branch into his "roguish" talents.

Oak is extremely frugal.
