The Battle - Round Two

Slash, Hunter, and Ranger blasted and vibro-slashed the ship door until the control panel blew up. They slid the door open and jumped in just as the roof laser beam fired.

Inside was a 10’x10’ area lined with lockers. There was a short 5’ corridor to the left and right ending in doors. The left door slid open six inches and a gas grenade tumbled in, then the door slid shut. Gas expelled in the small space.

Actions for Round 3!

- R 2 init gun [1d6]=2 vs Party [1d6]=6 Party beats gun
- The party reached 100 HP of door damage in the second round.
- R 2 surprise on 1-2 [1d6]=5 No

R-1 seeing the gas grenade takes a deep breath with his artificial lung and then holds it, ready to take advantage of not needing much air for just a head if he has to. He rushes over and tries to grab up the grenade in his clawed hand and chuck it out the door behind them them!

The Battle - Round 3

The grenade hissed out its gas but Slash, Ranger and Hunter held their breath. The wounded Dynos wasn’t quick enough and succumbed to the gas. He collapsed unconscious.

Ranger scooped up and tossed the grenade out the exterior door to the outside. The gas dissipated.

Slash rushed for the door from which the grenade came from. His vibro-sword cut into the panel, damaging it moderately.

Actions for Round 4!
- Initiative:
Rnd 3 init party [1d6]=6 vs enemy [1d6]=6. Simultaneous.
- Hitting doors (or walls) with a weapon is automatic, so only damage rolls are needed.
- The door from which the grenade came from has 100 HP before its blown open, and Slash did 33 this round.
- Greywolf stated no action for Hunter.
- I went ahead with this roll for Hunter to move things along: Hunter poison roll [1d20]=20 Hunter held his breath.
- Dynos poison roll for grenade [1d20]=2 :(

Ranger-1

Since he is already at the back door, he holds his rifle at the ready and guards their "6" while looking for a control panel to close and lock the door behind them.

Told you this would be fun!

Was he laughing?

The Battle - Round 4

Slash and Hunter vibro-blade the interior door. Combined with the previous damage to the metal door, they got it open.

Meanwhile, Ranger-1 realized that the exterior door, having been shot up and vibro-bladed, could no longer close properly.

As the interior door was pushed aside, the mercenaries saw a 20' long, 10' wide cargo hold, moderately filled with variously sized storage bins and miscellaneous items. Fifteen feet down was a ladder on the right side.
At the other end of the hold was a waiting Mandalorian bounty hunter...
He raised an arm and fired a cone of flame at the mercenaries.Image

Slash

Slash tries to block the flames with his Durra Alloy shield and charges the merc.

Not sure what rolls I need here.

Hunter tries to jump back out the door before the flames get him.

Ranger-1 admires their handy work a moment then gets to work looking to see if there is an airlock mechanism of some sort. Was it too early a model to have an auto shield he could activate? He begins running through the control panel looking for anything listed for hull breach protocols. Be right with you guy! Trying to cover our 6!

The Battle - Round 5

Image

The flames played over Slash, Hunter and Ranger as they each took their action.

Slash ducked behind his shield as the flames licked around him, only singing his fur in places (9 HP). The mutant badger charged and swung his vibro-sword at the bounty hunter (Roll to hit/damage)

Hunter dashed out the exterior door, avoiding part of the flames but his back got superficial burns (9 HP.)

Ranger focused on the control panel, disregarding the flames hitting against his robot body (17 HP). The cyborg saw that the ship did not have an energy field to activate. However, he deduced that the other doors (the closed one to the left, and the open one to the right into the hold) both served as airlocks to close off the 10’x10’ entry area.

Actions for Round 6!

- Slash include this Round 5 attack roll, as well as the next round (6) actionroll as necessary.
- Rnd 4 init prty [1d6]=2 vs b hunter [1d6]=2 Simultaneous
- Hunter was dashing out, so given the simultaneous initiative he’ll take half damage.
- Slash’s shield blocks for half flame damage.
- flamethrower damage [4d6]=17

Hunter "Don't be daft, Slash get outta there. Let big robot Ranger knock the bastard on his ass." he calls back through the door while patting out any flames on his body.

Well the battle momentum here is slowed. We have two rapid posters and one slow. I’ll give Bluehorse another day, then move forward with Ranger continuing his current action.

The Battle - Round 6

Image

The mercenaries faced the bounty hunter in the cargo hold, a 20' long, 10' wide space moderately filled with variously sized storage bins and miscellaneous items. Fifteen feet down was a ladder on the right side. At the far end was the Mandalorian bounty hunter. (See map)

Slash the mutant badger, vibro-sword slashing, ignoring the pain from his burning fur (4 HP) dashed forward to stand toe-to-toe with the Mandalorian. The bounty hunter blocked Slash's energy blade (Rnd. 5) with his beskar armored fore-arm, but the badger's second thrust (Rnd. 6) found a weaker spot and wounded (15 HP) the Mandalorian! He grunted in pain.

Hunter the metal-armed human remained just outside the ship's exterior door as he put out the fire on his back. He tried to warn Slash but the badger ignored him. "Don't be daft, Slash get outta there. Let big robot Ranger knock the bastard on his ass."

Ranger-1 moved partially behind a crate for cover and fired his Mark VII laser rifle. The 150-year-old cyborg was usually a crack shot, and his aim now was true as it hit the Mandalorian square in the shoulder (11 HP) (high enough to avoid the short mutant badger.) "Blasted droid!" Ranger heard the bounty hunter mutter.

Image

The Mandalorian raised his right fist and from his gauntlet vembrane launched a volley of tiny missiles that whistled through the air at Ranger and Slash. Ranger, armored and partially behind a crate, was hit by one (8 HP). Slash was pierced by three, each a painful tiny explosion (21 HP).

Just outside the ship, Hunter heard laser fire and explosions within.

Actions for Round 7!

Rolls & Map
- Round 6 Initiative party [1d6]=5 vs manda [1d6]=1 Party wins!
- As you can infer from the stated damage, the Mandolorian's beskar armor reduced by two-thirds Slash's vibro-sword and Ranger's laser rifle damage.
- Round 6 residual fire damage [1d6]=4 from flamethrower Slash only takes this as he has fur, Hunter stated he was patting his out, Ranger is metal.
- Round 6 - whistling birds 3 each on S and R [_6d20]=(10+8+18+5+10+7)=58 The 5 and 7 vs. R AC 2 missed.
- Round 6 - whistling birds damage 3 on S 1 on R [2d6]=7, [2d6]=8, [2d6]=6, [2d6]=8, Slash takes 21, Ranger 8
- PC Damage Tally:
Hunter: 9 (59-9=50)
Slash: 34 (73-34=39)
Ranger: 25 (108-25=83)
Mandalorian: 26/?

Hunter muses about how a grenade of any kind would be useful about now.
