Ranger-1 grunts. I say we LeRoy Jenkins this thing and just taken them by surprise. Secure the zone and the ship... probably go for the ship first... Once we are inside we can lock the doors and use the weapons for any external surprises. Plus... it will be fun.

Making sure I understand, we have our weapons from before back? Or are we still disarmed?

…The mercenaries weapons and equipment were returned to them. They included a variety of other weapons from Ranger's crashed scout ship, including an air bike.
“other weapons” will need to be remembered or looked up, otherwise they must have disappeared into a Pern tinkerer lab ;)

Slash

Slash has a Vibro Blade, Vibro Dagger, and Duralloy Shield. He never had a ranged weapon of any type.

Ranger would have his rifle back, not sure he ever shared his other weapons. If there was an option to take a Vibro-blade of any sort, he would have happily grabbed one... or two.

Hunter has a vibro dagger & a bola. though the "other weapons" from Ranger's crashed ship would be lovely if it involved some ranged weaponry.

“I’m for that,” said Dynos.

Hunter shrugs and holds his head again "Sure, why not."

Everyone has agreed to Ranger’s idea, though there are no details on the exact approach to the ship, etc. I was hoping Bluehorse may check in, but probably not given his internship. Do either of you want to provide detail, or is it just “the group goes into the ship.” As you may have sensed, we are in a moment of tactical consideration against an unknown enemy (even if you have OOC suspicions ;) ). Forewarned is forarmed.

This is the finale. I’ll give Bluehorse a few more days to reply, then NPC. You can also consider any more specific strategies, otherwise you go in a as group.

Got As on the Module! Sorry for the absence, but it is supposed to be downhill from here.

Ranger-1 Okay... Count to three... Go one two... Rush the main door. Our objective is just to get in and close the hatch behind us.
Got it? Okay... 1.... 2.... LEEEROOOOOOOOOOOOY JENKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINSSSS!!!
Ranger lets loose a battle cry that just feels appropriate but the meaning to it is lost in the black depths of his memory as she charges at full tilt, firing off a few rounds at nothing while he is at it just for effect. If there is anything to actually aim at, he will try to but this is more about shock and awe than precisions!

Hunter hesitates for a minute then draws his vibro blade and follows with a shrug as if saying 'well what can you do..'

The Battle - Round One

Ranger, Hunter, Slash and Dynos rushed the ship. The energy cage holding the small dragon was off to the right side. The flying reptile within watched with interest.

“Should we free the dragon?” Dynos wondered aloud. It was too late at the moment. As they approached the door, a red light blinked on a small drone that arose from the roof. A roof-mounted laser gun pivoted and fired at the mercenaries.

Do they make it to the door or get hit first? Initiative gun [1d6]=5 vs party [1d6]=2 Gun wins!

Laser Gun [1d20]=17, damage [10d6]=38, on R H S D [1d4]=4 Dynos takes 38!

The laser shot blasted Dynos in the chest (38 HP, now at 28) and the alien was thrown back.

Ranger fired his Mark VII energy rifle at the door. Dynos crawled forward to join his comrades. Hunter drove his vibro-blade into the spot. The opening mechanism was mangled.

(Please roll damage for your weapons. It’ll take 100 HP to blast it open. Fun fact: The average of all four of your weapons combined is 74. Dynos isn’t shooting this round due to his heavy injury.)

The dragon roared.

Actions for Round 2!

I’ll wait another day or two for Bluehorse, than will NPC Ranger.

I’ll need damage rolls for Round One.

Round Two actions I see posted, including the damage rolls on the door.

The door needs 100 HP to get through.
