Sorry for the delay; November/December were absolutely BRUTAL this year, and I went on vacation Christmas Eve for two weeks. It. Was. GLORIOUS!!!

I'm back, and getting back into the swing of everyday life. I'll be posting post-haste!

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry for dropping off suddenly like that. I think life is just about back on track now. I'll do my best to get caught up on the adventure and jump back in.

Hi, guys! Sorry for the extended absence; the last several weeks have been extremely busy.

This is my sixth year participating in a benefit show for a local hospice organization. It's all music; we vocalists bring songs to sing with the band, and local businesses pay a big chunk of change to have us perform a musical commercial (we take popular songs and rewrite the lyrics to be a commercial for the business). The show didn't happen last year (the director had a hip replaced), and it was sorely missed by a lot of people. This year was the 32nd "Almost Annual" performance. Our shows were Friday and Saturday of the last two weekends. And, as you might imagine, the last few weeks have been extremely busy, so I've not had time to swing by and post.

Top all that off with the fact that I did three of the four performances while not quite fending off what appears to be a case of bronchitis, and it's been quite the endeavor indeed.

I'm back now, though. So, game on!

My apologies for my lack of posting lately, I have had an Uncle pass away and done Jury duty (4 days worth) in the past two weeks and this has REALLY eaten into my on-line time so I am very sorry for the lack of posting! I am back though and will put up a post tonight/tomorrow....sorry for the delay!

Thanks. He had been sick for a long time and was in his late 80s, so it wasn't a complete surprise or anything, but he was a good guy….a tough Marine vet. of the Korean War and a guy who busted his ass for over 40 years in a steel mill, so he more than did his share. He'll be missed….

My apologies to all. Despite my best intentions, I was unable to keep up last week as I dealt with an accreditation inspection at work and the beginning of selling my home. The inspection is over and I will now be able to resume normal posting.

My oldest daughter got married last Sunday. At the Des Moines, IA Renaissance Festival. It was FANTASTIC.

And, I was, understandably, busy.
