I'd rather give up some xp, especially since I can afford to forfeit quite a bit from my cleric/thief before he loses a level in either! Damn, and I was just thinking bragging rights...

The prize could be Winner on the waiting list jumps in front of the line to the top spot

Actually I think Half of party 2 already died so we can't really take bets anymore.

We're just handicapping ourselves to be on par with Team 1.

Speaking of potential waiting listers filling vacancies in either of the starting groups, could you move me and Halfarion to the back of the waiting list? Would especially like to see some of the newer members get first choice of magic items and a crack at it straight out the gate, if'n they're ready.

I was Best Man in this fellow's wedding this past summer. His name is McLeod. Derned if he didn't borrow my waterskin for holding hooch that all the boys swilled from before the ceremony. I offered to also let him carry one of my swords, but he declined. And I swear he's part Elf.

OK Party 1 is officially started!

Hopefully we will have Party 2 going this weekend.

So I'm taking bets. All active and waiting players are eligible for the following...

Name the first PC to die and you'll get a potion of Extra Healing.

In addition to their name, if you can guess the cause of death (e.g. poison, crushed, fall, impaled, etc.) you'll get a potion of your choice

This feels like Tomb of Horrors clue. If there's no negative to being wrong:

Fosco the thief - Impaled

Rocks fall, everyone dies.

though is this case it's an actual feature of the dungeon, not just the DM getting frustrated and killing everyone
