Maag

As the group of hunters gather, Maag hands out some of the bamboo poles he prepared the day before, along with the vines. "If we kill plenty of dem, we can build sleds and drag der meat back 'ere", he explains. "We don't 'ave time to 'ang around by der river. Der plan is to get back 'ere by sundown."

Maag looks around the group."I don't know a lot about dese fings except dey 'ave got bloody big teeth, so make sure yer armor is in good condition an' don't forget yer shields. Yer should always use protection wiv unknown beavers".

Andronichishche accepts a bamboo pole from Maag. "We must be careful travelling along the beach. Whatever that new sea monster is, it apparently attacked a group on the sand by surprise."

The cleric takes a bamboo pole as well and moves off with the group. This should be interesting...if not entertaining

Alordan will take a bamboo pole also to maybe use as a spear - the last sea monster they encountered was huge.

Hunting For Experience
Moonday, 22nd of Goodmonth
Very Early Morning, Warm, Misty, Humid


It is very early the next morning when Maag, Gramble, Tlachtga, Alordan, Andronichishche and Lerrick, otherwise known as the Fellowship of the Silver Circle, gather at the edge of town near the beach. A light mist hangs in the air on this dark morning, thankfully bringing the usual heat of the island down slightly.

Knowing they need to get to the river before the sun rises, Maag tries to get his group, still tired from the day before, ready to move out. He hands out some bamboo poles he gathered earlier, along with vines and supports, in case they need to haul any big game back to town with them.

Well before first light appears, with the onslaught of insects buzzing around so badly they can barely see and hear each other, the sleepy group appears ready to head out into the darkness. Or are they?

Just need a marching order and light sources, if you'll be using them.

I will adjust these stats up as we go, but let me know if you see anything wrong once I'm done.

The cleric moves into the middle of the pack. She takes out her make shift light source, a glow stone lashed to the end of a bamboo pole that she used on the other island. She instinctively looks at the trees looking for trees that like to kill living things. Thinking to herself. I pray that there are none of those here.

Just verifying that Lerrick should now have 20 hp and her spells should be 5 lvl 1 and 4 lvl 2 cleric spells now that she is a lvl 4 cleric

Maag

"Not just der sea monster", Maag informs the group. " 'I've eard about big lizards, an' giant snakes, an' packs of wild dogs attacking people along 'ere".

"Yer know, if we get lucky, we might not even 'ave to go as far as der river."


Once the group gets about a mile outside the town Maag calls out to the group. " 'ang on a second!" He pulls a crude snare made from vine from his pack. Then he moves about ten yards into the bushes and ties the snare to the base of a tree. Retracing his steps to the sand, he marks a nearby tree with an X.

"Der we go. I've got anuvver 'alf a dozen of dese fings. Set 'em up as we go down der beach an' see wot dey 'ave caught on der way back."

Andronichishche, wary about reports of the sea monster, walks nearer the tree line than the shore. He constantly scans the tide for any unusual disturbances or tracks in the wet sand at the shoreline. "An excellent idea, Mr. Maag." Andron swats away a small cloud of mosquitoes of unusual size. "Although ... if you did catch something, would that not attract other predators?" He ponders aloud. The dark, damp caves were already feeling preferable to the plague of insects in the early morning air.
