Deflected by a sweep of her axe the bayonet goes wide and she drops her shoulder to slam the PDF trooper backwards. Surprised by the move he falls and she stamps down, pinning his weapon and raising her axe. They both scream... Sigrun's green eye snaps open but her brain's already telling the rest of her that there's no threat - just a wolf dream. She gives a languid smile and snuggles gratefully into the shoulder of an incredibly comfortable Imperial scout.

John Lee grunts in his sleep and then stiffens and stretches as an alarm goes off. Glancing over his shoulder he says, "Time to wake up Sigrun, our shifts start in 20 minutes."

He swings his legs over the edge of the bed and scratches his side for a second, then stands and starts to pull on his jumpsuit.

"I'll go make sure the coffee is brewing. See up in a few." he says leaning over and gives Sigrun a kiss on the cheek.

Sigrun smiles contentedly and hits the shower realising that she hasn't really got a hangover. Once she's taken the usual regulation time to freshen up she expertly wriggles into her vacc suit, sweeps her hair back into a ponytail and heads for the galley mindful of taking a caff straight through to the bridge for Pedro since he had the nightwatch.

Difficult to tell them apart. There's some sort of new fangled computer wizardry that swaps one into the other and then back again. Even they don't actually know which type they are!

"Oh, no," Zaki says. "Don't touch him, please. I need to examine him to determine cause of death." She sets her med kit down and takes out her diagnostic scanner. She makes an initial assessment as to what may have happened using the scanner.

Sigrun finds both John Lee and coffee and takes a cup through to the bridge for Pedro whilst beginning to wonder where everyone else is...

Pedro steps back from Chandra's room, to give her space. "Connie, please give me an immediate comms and location check on all crew. Also put an audit lock on all shipboard access logs for the last 24 hours, my authority."

He turns to Carlos. "No one else goes in until we know more from Zaki. Given what we've run into on this trip so far, I think treating it as a crime scene is the wiser choice, even if it turns out to be natural causes."

Sigrun appears outside the stateroom and says grimly "If you put bodies in an air lock and void it the cold of space will preserve them. I've brought comrades back to port that way before. However, first we need to know how Chandra died". She adds "Connie told me. John Lee has the bridge".

"We'll cross that hab void when we come to it..." He shakes his head "Shiiga, do we even have any body bags in stores? Connie, please let Sigrun know where they are. I'm going to go to engineering to check if everything's ok there."

The pool of vomit on the deck near the bed is obvious. as is an overturned glass on the floor next to the bed. A search of the room doesn't turn up anything else that looks unusual.

She then hands both glasses to Zaki declaring them to be "For scienceing".

OOC: Terry and JR live in Texas, so they might have been affected by the hurricane that just blew in Wednesday. I hope both are okay.

Terry and I live about 15 miles apart. The storm went east of us, so we got nothing but a couple feet of storm surge out of it.
