Jason shakes hands, and exchanges pleasantries with everyone stopping with Thomas and Jane,I hope I helped, if anything else comes up call me and I will come running. He shakes their hands, Or if you wanna get pizza and throw some skee balls. He grins looking at Jean and nudging Thomas with his elbow.

Afterwards he makes his way back to the congregation hall and looks for Gabby and assuming he finds her easily goes over and sits next to her, Well I could go for another drink after that, he chuckles I hope I didn't put you in any kind of situation, but it meant a lot to know you had my back here.

Jason easily finds Gabby just as the old woman she was sitting with leaves with a much younger man escorting her out the door. The look on Gabby's face is pensive as she thinks to herself when Jason walks up to her. Don't worry about it. That woman was very kind. Her name was Marsha Pronghorns. She filled me in that a lot of the older people want nothing to do with the Mayor's deal. It is the younger people that invited him in when he started making calls around this area asking to buy up land. A few of them have settled with him privately, but it is looked down on. Once reservation land is signed over, it is gone forever. Just another lot parceled to whoever owns it. Anyone that holds the deed before then owns it free and clear, no taxes, and is free to pass it along to whomever they want, usually their kids. Thinking in the long term, they have a lot to lose here.

Yeah, hopefully I gave the mayor a more lucrative option that doesn't include the Caddo losing land. Sorry I drug you into work, especially this. When they posses a bunch of pig carcasses and throw a stove at me, that is nothing compared to the terror you put your foot in your mouth and good people get put in danger, He looks concerned, But I dont know, I mean we can force the Mayor with a federal injunction, God that Peck dude looooves those. But the Mayor doesn't seem like he let something like that slide without remembering it later. He breathes in, Heres hoping.he says as he can just not quite feel a scally sensation up his back. Wahhg he shivers.
