Seriously, take your time. Real World- and especially family- have to come first.

Re: The Saloon (OOC Thread)
My kids finally grew up enough that I have some free time again. I'd forgotten what free time is like, it took me a while to figure out what to do with it. Eventually I started playing RPGs again for the first time in three decades.
Hang in there Samwell!

Thanks to Play-by-Email and Play-by-Post, I never had to completely give up on gaming. But having kids around definitely demands your time.

I wish I'd known about PBP gaming much, much earlier.
By the way Samwell, I wanted to say that this game is the best I've played by post so far. Really nice homebrew creation and excellent GM writing. And the illustrations-- wow.

Admin Note: This game probably should have been archived at the same time as the "Insurrection (Into the Odd)" game, also run by Samwell Turleton.
I will go ahead and do it now, knowing they can easily be restored if/when they're ready to be resumed.

I appreciate the kind words and the supportive words. My circumstances haven’t really changed much but I am hoping to get to posting again soon.

Re: The Saloon (OOC Thread)
I am going to start with a post here to see if it reaches the players that were in this game. I am finally in a position where I can start participating in The Unseen Servant again and would like to gauge interest in taking this game out of the archives and starting the Casketlands game where we left off. There were a number of stories being developed with characters strewn out in the wilderness, in the midst of a celebration, and sleuthing around the town of Casketlands. If I can get a critical mass of people again I could start things up at the end of June.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Welcome back! Bad time for me, I am pretty overwhelmed right now with school and work, but I might be able to slow post.

Re: The Saloon (OOC Thread)
Thank you!
It might be a slow start depending on how much interest there is. I will reach out in some private messages to the group and see who else might participate. I probably missed some of the details on your current situation but it sounds like an exciting time balancing a lot of responsibilities!

Re: The Saloon (OOC Thread)
Yes, I am just catching up again on the threads and will start things up soon.
Re: The Saloon (OOC Thread)
So glad to see us starting again.
For sanity and time management, I'm only reading the tale that Lenny and George are actually in. Do you need us to be keeping up with the stories of the others, or is it okay to allow us OOC ignorance of other IC scenes?

Re: The Saloon (OOC Thread)
This is my question also! If parallel knowledge is required, would each player be alright posting a short cliffsnotes of their adventures?

Re: The Saloon (OOC Thread)
You are welcome to whatever approach you want. You can read into the other threads, remain ignorant, or provide a summary of your thread for other players. It is possible that there are relationships between the threads.
Re: The Saloon (OOC Thread)
Really happy that ST was able to restart this excellent one!
(I've been reading all of the threads as we've gone along. It seems to me that they are interrelated. Themes from one thread appear in other threads. But I think if I only read my PC's thread, I'd still enjoy the game).

BTW, Casket Land 1.05 is up. It has some new classes, e.g. Liars, Cultists, Dredgers, Ferrymen, etc. There are also separate Monsters and Items PDFs. The writer did a whole adventure set in a swamp, but unfortunately it was about a pandemic so she's had to rewrite it. https://offshelf.net/2020/08/17/casket- ... rie-enger/

Re: The Saloon (OOC Thread)
Thank you for sharing the update on the expanded content. I liked the interview and haven’t read much of Marie’s perspective on the game. I look forward to seeing the Liar character type.

"Liars lie. Always."

Re: The Saloon (OOC Thread)
Next couple of weeks are going to be difficult for me to post. Not 100% afk, but close. Thanks for your patience as I gear things up for my classes while entering finals for my summer courses.

I'm also in the throes of academia! I'll get posting as soon as I can.
