A few notes.
I've grouped the four of you together on one ship and populated the crews with familiar faces.
The sails will be lowered once the ships are in position.
Again, this is a 'friendly' match. A non-lethal brawl to hone the ship combat skills needed to be a proper pirate.

Act 2 Scene 1

Brawl on the Bay

You are all Pirates, with a capital P.
Your Captain, the notorious Captain Gygax, has arranged for a little training exercise to help hone the boarding and ship-fighting skills of his crew. He has you pairing off against a sister ship of his and once the ships are in position with the sails down, he addresses the combined group.

"Tis good t' see ye all here 'n wit' most o' ye limbs! Since thar was an incident th' last time we boarded a vessel, ye all are gettin' some trainin'! Rules be simple. No blades, 'n last crew standin' wins shore leave. I hear Th' Saucy Tart has made quite a reputation in town."

"Be thar any questions?"

Rogg sprints across the deck and leaps across the narrow space between the drifting vessels, aiming for Ulfang the Black.

He (barely) sticks the landing and unquestionably seizes Ulfang in a crushing embrace.

Evan Schris

Evan grabs his trusty Quarterstaff and racing back to the port side edge of the Saucy Tart (I THINK that's OUR ship's name?), and then he races forward to the starboard edge, jamming his staff down against the gunwales of his ship and using the staff as a lever to vault himself over to the 'enemy' ship, planning to land next to to Tigida the Bloody (assuming the squares are something like 3-5 feet each...if they're 10 each....that's too far for him to pole-vault (he can do 9 feet) and he'll instead shimmy up a mast and cross over on a spar and drop down)....

Lug grabs hold of a rope and swings across to the other ship in the fine tradition of swashbucklers everywhere. Granted, most of those swashbucklers weren’t the size of bear cubs, but yards are made sturdy.

When he (let’s hope) makes it to the other ship, he searches for someone to charge and put into One of his patented rasslin’ holds.

Act 2 Scene 2

"Yeah, I 'ave a riddle. How do we win? WAIT! NOT FAIR, those scallywags are startin' early!" A crew member of the Filthy Oar objects while, in a hurry to prove themselves, a few members of the crew of the Kraken jump to action!

Captian Gygax merely laughs "Ain't no rules on th' sea. Good on them fer showin' spark."

Rogg sprints and leaps across the gap, barely covering the distance, and slams into Ulfang as if he planned it all along. A quick grab and twist, and suddenly Ulfang is restrained and in shock about how quickly things went downhill for him.

Vonn positions himself to repel boarders, but the crew of the Flithy Oar has been caught napping and there are none to repel.

Evan holds up his buck and a quarter quarterstaff, dashes to the rail and vaults over the crystal sea to land neatly next to Tigilda the Bloody whose eyes are as big as her...tracts of land.

Lug stampedes to the rigging, grabs a line and swings out and over to the Flithy Oar. The rigging creaks and protests, but it survives. His feet scamper across the deck, he releases the line and finds himself face to crotch with Holeon.

Sorry, a few clarifications. You and the red dots are on the Kraken. The blue dots are on the Flithy Oar. Grid is 5ft per square. The boats aren't lashed together, so they can and will move back and forth.

Vonn

Vonn will hold his position if the ships remain separated. If they close enough for him to safely board the other vessel he will, then rush his nearest opponent and try to overbear.

With as dashing a smile as he can manage, Evan smiles at Tigilda and apologetically says; "Sorry about this"; and then attempts to sweep his leg behind her while simultaneously shoving her in her....ahem...torso....to push her off the ship.....

Act 2 Scene 3

As the giant Lug grabs Holeon and starts to power lift him above his head, Ryany rushes to his ship-mates aid but is too late. Holeon is tossed overboard and hits the water with a satisfying splash. An instant later, Ryany closes and punches Lug in the side for 2 dmg.

Ever the gentleman, Evan tips his hat to the lady wizard but his chivalry only goes so far as he shows off his bedroom moves. He combines a trip behind her leg with a shove and Tiligda falls onto her back. She lands with a gasp and kicks out with her leg, trying to return the favor. Luckily for Evan's progeny, she is unable to land a solid blow. She's down and you can grapple or pummel next round. Gatu wants to get in on the action and rushes towards the fray, only to be interrupted by...

Vonn waits patiently for the ships to ease together and is quickly rewarded. As the gap shrinks to just over five feet he makes his move. He lands and finds himself as the fourth in this little group. Wasting no time on pleasantries, Vonn tackles Gatu and knocks her to the deck alongside Tigilda.

Rogg tries to drag Ulfang to the edge, but the equally sized man doesn't budge. Ulfang twists and tries to break the hold, but only succeeds in getting a face full of Rogg's chest.

Other pirates can be heard yelling and jumping across the gap. Bertham swings and misses a newly landed Folco.

Act 2 Scene 4

Evan continues his horizontal dance with Tigilda, trying to grab any part of her that he can. The wizard is quick and practiced at avoiding the Grasping Hands of her opponents. Evan grasps only air, but Tigilda mistakenly rolls away closer to the rail of the ship as the ship sways from a rogue wave, putting her perilously close to the crystal water below. She's still on the ground, so try again? :D

Nearby, Vonn doesn't do much better with the lurching ship, punching the deck as Gatu escapes his grasp and gets to her feet. Gatu is now standing and looks to be attempting to punch you.

Completing the triumvirate of futility, Lug finds himself faced off with a much faster foe who is able to strike and retreat just out of the reach of the large man. 1HP damage and your grapple was disrupted. If Ryany is able to land a blow on Lug, then Lug's counter-attack gets disrupted.

It all comes down to Rogg, at least for this round, and the Half-Orc doesn't disappoint. Faced with two foes, he shrugs off a blow from Ulfang and counters with a solid strike of his own, bloodying Ulfang. Urin tries to avenge his ally, but the swaying boat causes him to swing wide.

Sounds of blows landing and people yelling fill the air, competing with the creaking of the boats as the current buffets them around. Marode, Arran, and Geoffry all try to cross the gap as it widens to over 10 feet. Marode and Arran act quickly and decisively as Geoffry hesitates. The thump of a body hitting the side of the boat, frantic scrabbling, and finally, a splash indicates that Geoffry didn't make it.

A body hits the deck on each ship as both Bertham and Andres from team Blue are knocked out cold.

Lug curses his slowness—which, oddly enough, isn't usually a problem for him—and tries again. He hunkers down and bull-rushes Ryany.

Trying to overbear.
