Chapter One: Arrival

Tilthig

The Svirfneblin comes back and begins his search along the other way. Again he is taking his time. No need to get killed after we've only been here for like 30 minutes or so!

[shaidar]

Thir will support Tilthig by staying 20' behind and alert, checking the stonework as he goes.

Bingo follows along, staying alert.

Where is everybody searching and/or proceeding. The hidden storage room where you have all been (E) is empty of anything other than the suit of armor. The only other object, the key, is in Tilthig's possession.

Following along behind Tilthig, searching the floor and walls as he has time.

Jardin takes the left wall following behind Tilthig.

Thir will keep watch at the back.

Just so I understand, you are back in the large hall heading towards the stairs and pillars indicated on the map to the West. You are searching along the wall located to the South?

[Rex]

Yup

Nothing else of note is found along the southern wall. Tilthig, as you are searching you hear the familiar click of a crossbow string being latched into place. The sound originates from the down the steps into the next chamber.

[tarlyn]

Tilthig

"Crossbow!" he says in a loud enough voice for all to hear, and dives out of the way!

He tries to tumble and get out of the way of the bolt that is bound to come within seconds.

[shaidar]

Thir dives for cover.

(not that there is much cover in a corridor, so he drops to the floor and looks around for the crossbow wielder)

Jardin crouches down as best he can and hugs the wall. Mace clutched tightly and ready to fight!

[Rex]

Bingo

Bingo dives for the floor.

As Tilthig hollers "Crossbow!", the distinctive thwang of the bolt being fired is heard by all in the quiet confines of the hall. Everyone dives for cover as the bolt sails harmlessly over everyone to hit the opposite wall. Turning quickly to find the bolt, you are able to see it came from the direction of the stairs to the west.

The bolt originated to the left, from the stairway.

Tilthig

Kneeling now, Tilthig loads his own Crossbow. Taking a deep breath and exhaling slowly to calm himself, the Svirfneblin stands, back to the wall. He activates his innate power of Blur.

As fast as he can, he shoots a bolt back in exactly the same direction the bolt came from!

Crossbow shot back [1d20+2] = 16+2 = 18

Bingo

Bingo charges after Tilthig's bolt, darts at the ready once he can identify a target. "Into the fray brothers!"

Thir joins Bingo in running forward, shield up and hammer ready.

Jardin keeps his shield in tight and his mace ready - while others charge into incoming fire. He advances more slowly....
