Etta grabs her cardigan and heads to the door. "I'm going to walk the perimeter of the courthouse, take some readings. Anyone want to come along?"

Roy O'Dowd replies back to Gregory "Yes this is Roy O'Dowd I was told to contact you as someone there left a message for me?"

Yeah, I will come. There is a lot going on at this place and if its walking distance I want a look. He gets up, shoves several books into a messenger bang, grabs a PKE meter and follows Etta.

Roy O'Dowd... Oh, here it is... William! Phone! a moment later. William Campbell. Mr. O'Dowd? I am glad you called. We are in meeting tonight, so I was right here. You're prompt. I like that. Tell me son, have you ever heard of the Scottish Rite?

Roy replies "Oh well hello William, yes prompt that's me. Scottish Rite you guys are free mason's right? Something to do with freemasonry?" he saysin a tone that sounds a bit like a question.

There is an appreciative chuckle on the other side of the line. Exactly right. Sir, the reason we're reaching out is because we heard you had come to town. When we took it upon ourselves to check the rolls... and came across a name you may know. Cornelius O'Dowd.

Roy. This is you great grandfather. Mr. Campbell let's the question hang there.

Roy responds "Yeah that's my grand dad. Was he a member?"

Yes sir, he was. We try to make it a point of reaching out to what we call legacies. The decendence of past members to see if they would like to join.

Roy stammers for a minute "Uh hmm join? Well what would that entitle? Do I have to pay or go to some meeting? What would happen if I became a member? Er that is to say it would be an honor I just would like to know what I'd be getting into first before i say yes or no."

[Bluehorse]

Campbell chuckles. Easy, cowboy. Take a breath.
We'll invite you out to a meeting one night and you can meet some folks, talk to members and all that. No pressure, no hurry.

Roy lets out a sigh of relief "Ok so when and where do we want to have this meeting?"

Well we meet officially every Thursday for what is called Blue Lodge which is basically the main lodge and all divisions and ranks getting together to socialize and discuss business. I can arrange a time and will happily be your sponsor to get in. That is no big deal, so dont read too much into it. You just let me know a time that works best for you and I will work out the details. It is on Blue Lodge nights that we bring in guests and family to visit here at the main temple. We are nearby and hard to miss once you know what you are looking for. I'll send you some information later or you can take it down now. With you being a legacy, we just like to reach out. It takes some of the burdens off becoming a member too since you are literally considered family.

Feel free to wrap up phone calls or do as you will. We can play loose with the time here a little bit but I have moved the time up to sync with Etta arriving back from the Historic district. This way we don't have to worry about things bogging down.
