Axe firmly gripped in his tenticles, Nor-jax carries a spear as they trail Frekken, letting his animal instincts guide him through the night.

Re: CHAPTER 1: The Long Route to Lantica
Okay--not sure how this will work exactly, but I'd ideally want Frekken to use his Chameleon Epidermis to camo himself and creep up close enough to see who's camping out--specifically what they are (humans, mutants, etc) and how many.
Re: CHAPTER 1: The Long Route to Lantica
Bart, MH
Bart Readies his crossbow and follows.
He asks Blixx if he can fly with the frog-man in tow.

Although Frekken is small, Blixx has a Strength of 9. The Difficulty Class for Blixx to carry Frekken is between Meduim and Hard (17). A 9 STR has a -1 modifier to ability rolls. (See House Rules)
If Blixx wants to carry Frekken is Psionic Flight, he will have to roll a 17 or greater on d20 (after the -1 modifier) each action round (an additional modifier may be added if Frekken is tied to Blixx. Of course, this will require a check to see if the fastener is made correctly...). Failure will result in Blixx dropping Frekken (unless he is tied to Blixx). His flight movement will also be reduced.
Re: CHAPTER 1: The Long Route to Lantica
Blixx MH
Blixx shrugs his shoulders, "What do you think Frekken?, I'm not too keen on dropping you and it'd be slow going"I'm thinking Frekken = Bilbo, "go on Burglar, do your Burgling. " LoL We could wait till dawn turns them to stone...

Frekken Ribbitowicz, MA Frog
Frekken smile nervously, and hesitates to answer. "Y-you're not serious...right?" he asks, punctuating the awkwardness with a well-timed ribbit. He lowers himself to his belly and creeps on towards the mystery camp.

The Long Route, Day 10
You all set out to investigate the mysterious campsite. Frekken drops to the ground and low crawls towards the objective. It takes a few moments (including several clearing your throats) to convince the frog-man that he began crawling too far from the fires.
As you get within a mile of the fires, the terrain begins to change into a sloping grade that ends in a river. From your vantage point (100 feet from the water), the river is over a hundred feet wide with some rock pillars jutting out of the water. The campfires appear to be at your level on the opposite side of the flowing waters approximately 300 yards in the distance. Your side of the river is dark and silent, but from the other side you clearly see human-looking figures moving about talking, laughing and stoking their respective fires.

"Perhaps there is a bridge near by or Blixx could stretch a rope across and tie it on the other side.
Sending Blixx across alone maybe fool hearty, what if they are hostile?"
Bart clicks toward the river.
MH, can we observe the current or guess the depth of the river? What is are likelihood of drowning?

The mutant gorilla eyed the river warily. He wasn't the strongest swimmer and his people tended to avoid deep waters. "Oor-zak no like swim in waters. Make fur wet and cold. Oor-zak no like to be wet and cold."

The Long Route, Day 10
Frekken and Blixx decide to cross the river. The others take up a position of observation and defensive cover (if they have the weapons/skills to do so).
The river has a slow current that does not reveal any indication of depth (for those of you with night sight).
...
Frekken, being a frog-man, I will assume is a proficient swimmer. The swim requires an Easy ability check (10 base roll or above on d20. See House rules). Swimming is a STR check and Frekken’s score of 10 provides no base modifier. His swimming proficiency adds +2 to the ability roll, so a roll of 8 or above is required on d20. He rolls a 15+2 = 17, a success!
Frekken STR check = [1d20] = 15
Frekken swims across to the other side with Blixx gliding in proximity. Blixx hides, but stays in sight of the camp while Frekken moves forward.
Stripped to make use of his chameleon epidermis, he has a 95% chance to hide in the darkness using this power.
Frekken, hide in darkness = [1d100] = 87
He moves close to observe the camp. Two guards are on patrol around the perimeter, but they appear to have a relaxed almost routine demeanor. 5 campfires burn in the clear night illuminating a group of 12 tents. 8 people (human-sized) move about chatting, laughing and tending their respective fires. Each person (both sexes) wears a veil over their face. From the trappings of their camp and the few words you hear from their conversations, you think they are Jipzee Ormani – a roving band of merchant/entertainers known to travel the Wretched Regions. They are known for their generous hospitality, yet initial suspicion of outsiders.
Most of you have heard of the Jipzee Ormani, but currently only Frekken suspects who they are.

Re: CHAPTER 1: The Long Route to Lantica
Frekken, MA Frog
Frekken swims back stealthily to his comrades, and approaches base-camp crawling on his belly naked though it's entirely unnecessary to do so.
"Jipzee Ormani! Jipzee Ormani!" he says excitedly as he rises from the dust. "They're prob'ly all right, so far as travelers go. Just traders. I'd bet if we approached them politely we could get some information about the land," the frog-mutant explains as he begins to look around the grass.
"Hm...now where'd I leave my clothes...?"
Is there a safer approach to the Jipzee, I wonder? If they're a bit paranoid, it might be weird if we all cross the river and roll up in the darkness, but then again I suppose we could go around them. If they're a benign presence, they could have some useful info learned on their travels.
