Saphjawx- Yes lets get this done. We need to make sure we are seen going into rooms. Let the bellman know that we are not to be disturbed as I am training you on Drow sign language. We can move to our target after that through the window in of our rooms

Zendur "Well you know i had an idea we were told if we had any further questions we could go to the guard captains office it's in the same place as the Laird aint it." the dwarf replies in dwarven to his drow friend.

NARRATOR

The two thieves make their way down the great marble hallway towards the office of the Laird. Two Guards appear to be on duty standing in front of the office door. Zedur notices that one of the guards is looking down at something in his hand, its a note of some kind, and he appears to be reading it well standing guard with his halberd. The other guard seems to be very alert and a bit irritated at his companion guards distraction.

Guard #1(Duncun)
Will you put that love note away! We have a job to do here Fendall!

Guard #2 (Fendall)
" Stow it Duncun, just because you don't have anyone sweet on you doesn't mean you have to be a grumpy puss all the time!

The two guards don't seem to notice the two thieves yet as they argue about nothing.

"The Guard Captains office is back the way you came. This is the office of Laird Gwaylar.

FENDALL

"I don't reckon he is their right now, its supper time and most city officials are heading to the pubs and taverns to get a bite to eat. You may want to check the Crazy Cosmos Pub located in southeast of city hall. He likes to go there for supper from what I remember.

DUNCUN

"Fendall is right he may not be in his office right now. I could take you to the Crazy Cosmos Pub if it is an urgent matter?

Zendur looks back to his drow elf friend as if to say uh what next? Then turns back to the guards "Eh well more or less more questions about our up coming expedition but we did have somethings of a more private matter to speak to him about. Don't suppose you two would be able to go get him for us wouldn't want to interrupt his dinner."

Saphjawx- Oh Yes, it is dinner time. We must be going anyways. I have dinner plans with very lovely young Lass. He smiles at Zendur and turns and walks away. As he walks away he talks a little louder than normal. Remember that beautiful lassie we met at the Inn she said to meet me in my room at Inn. Before her boyfriend gets off guard duty. Oh my friend she had the sweetest lips. She left me sweetest note under my door. He gives Zendur a wink as they walk down the street.

Zendur in cant to Saphjawx "So much for that plan what now? Shall we go to the captains office and see if it connects to the lairds? Or do you have something else in mind?"

Saphjawx- Right but we cant just go hide out for a few days after the job is done. We need to handle this with a little finesse. We need to be in two places at once. I am sure there is some kind of alarm if I use my magic. Our broaches may help us with being at 2 places at once.

As the two thieves cant among themselves Duncun and Fendell leave their post and exist the city hall arguing aboit someone named cecilia thistlebottom. Fendell seems bent on getting to the bottom of something and Duncun chases after him to convince him to not abandon his post.
