Korin pangs of recognition when he sees the nail in the box "By tha dwarven gods. Yah know what this thin is lad? A magic nail ain't many of em left out there. This thin can hold just about anythin shut er down unless yah be a mage with a good knock spell, nothin else'll remove tha nail."

"Oo, a magic nail. I have never seen a magic item before."

[Nordbo]

It's late afternoon and all is....well......

Korin/b] pats Tiny on the shoulder "Well lad now yah have. Mind it won't nail inta anythin a normal nail can't."

[Rex]

Tiny

"I will keep that in mind friend Korin, I will."

[sastaz]

Thorelf pats Tiny on the shoulder as well while passing.

"I really hope this magic nail will save our arses one day. Until then friend Tiny *yawn* I think I will lie down and rest. Wake me up when you want to switch. We'll let Eaton pray to his gods in peace, we'll need their help."

With that, Thorelf lies down, head on his backpack, and tries to get some sleep.

Here, you may have use for the bow since it is a range weapon.

Hands over the bow and arrows. After that starts to prepare himself to be able to receive new gifts from the gods and a day that will be better than this.

Then put his head on the backpack, shuts his eyes and starts to sleep.

Korin nods "Well if yah forget I'll remind yah." the dwarf says and then begins to yawn. "Eh guess I be more tired than I dun thought. I best take a nap afore I'm on watch."

It's an unusually early shut-eye for the intrepid adventurers. But it has indeed been a tough and unusual day and; everyone is pretty knackered.
Tiny watches over his three snoozing comrades-in arms, snuggled up and oblivious to the world. With only the accompaniment of an occasional <plip-plop> sound out there in the vast cave, his watch passes uneventfully....

To whom did Eaton offer the bow and arrows ?

Eaton did offer the bow to the first watch, aka Tiny

Tiny

Tiny has the bow for now then.

Tiny wakes the next watcher.

Thorelf stirs easily, as if he was not sleeping but just closing his eyes.

"Oh, my turn, right."

He gets up and takes a watch position, listening to the soft sound of the water.

Korin cracks an eye open hearing Thorelf speak "Eh my watch?" he says in a low tone just above a whisper and slightly groggily.

Thorelf stirs Korin and as soon as he opens his eyes he sees (for Korin and anyone that looks only):

Thorelf doing a hushing gesture with his finger, then pointing out in the darkness towards the point where the middle tower is.

Thorelf whispers:

"Can you hear that?"

Korin nods his head and whispers back (as best a dwarf with a deep voice can)

"Yeah, sounds like somethin' soggy walkin'."

Thorelf stays still and observes silently for a few minutes.

Thorelf leans in really close to Korin and whispers, almost hissing:

"Orc?!"

And points towards the eastern, half open, gate.

Where at the western tower is everyone camping? Around the foot of its outside walls, inside the half circle by the stairs, or up on the viewing ledge ?

Korin as best as he can see from this distance shrugs and shakes his head indicating he is unsure based on the silhouette he can't tell what it is.

which of those locations would be the most defensible, and good as a lookout for our watch? That is where Korin would be.
