Sorry, I should have been more specific. The properly caffeinated GM will now restate: Nothing new uncovered on map. Roy is most certainly able to move around front to Joker unless I misunderstood where it was Roy wanted to move to.GreyWolfVT wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 1:49 pm Roy no change? Roy moved but is he trapped outside now or did he get inside the house? certain this house has a ghost or ghosts wishes he brought a trap and proton pack. "I think we should have brought more gear." if he is trapped outside he will try calling Julia for reinforcements.

Re: Investigation #5: Joker, Roy, & Mac: The Haunting of 601 North E Street
When Joker and Mac try the door it seems jammed like there is some other force holding it shut for only a brief moment. The frosted glass on the window then frost over as the temperature drops significantly. Both Mac and Joker can see this as it happens:
Moments after that, the door is suddenly free of all force and between Mac's strength and Joker's pushing on the door, it flies open knocking both of them off balance.
Please roll a Mod Moves to recover your balance.
As the door whips open, the room seems to instantly begin warming again as if nothing happened.

Joker
[1d6] = 5 ghost [1d6] = 1 CRAP! Ghost die!
Joker half-stumbles as the door opens. He pales slightly, seeing the message on the window. Same as the cemetery... the web spreads wider.
He extingishes his cigar, putting the unsmoked portion in a shirt pocket. I am torn- we are here to gather information, but that message... I am afraid we will get in below our heads. Do we stay?

Comfortable and cloudy
Joker & Mac fall into the house in a pile of arms and legs. All Roy can do is stand back and watch as it happens right in front of him like an old keystone cops movie. Mac for his part holds his balance until he and Joker tangle their legs, leading to both men going to the ground.
Map:
Nothing new uncovered. Joker and Mac lay on the floor of the foyer and Roy is in the front yard or on the porch as Ed pleases.

Joker nods and grunts, well aware that his feet were the ones that got tangled and tripped Mac. I am well. We still need to decide whether we are staying or not.

Joker & Mac untangle themselves from each other and then get to their feet. The big question comes up, do we stay or do we go?
Meanwhile, Roy shoots off a text to everyone.

Roy bangs on the door and tries to open it shouting "Guys! hang in there I got the gang coming all except Sam apparently he's out of service."

Joker
It relates to the mystery in the cemetery. The entity wrote the same Latin phrase on the window.
Joker moves back outside, standing in the sunshine on the grass. He starts digging online, looking for a connection between this address and the Blackwell Witches. Ownership of this property and such.
Brains roll +1 BP to counteract his 'internet search curse' [5d6] = 22 ghost [1d6] = 3

Joker
Joker raises a dubious eyebrow. He's getting used to the fact that ghosts are actual beings, rather than just a quirk of quantum mechanics.... but witches and familiars? He's smart enough to not say anything.

Roy gets to thinking "Hey if whatever drained your phone batteries effects electronics will we even be able to use the proton packs and traps to contain the ghost or ghosts?"

That is a very good question. I will consider the problem.
