Sergius positions himself allowing as many of the party members to join as he can while not giving the undead space to spread away from the stairs.
it seems that will allow only one more character to join.
Spear - To hit: [1d20+1] = 17+1 = 18, Damage (s/m): [1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5, Damage (L): [1d8+1] = 4+1 = 5

OOC: Sergius should be able to attack from the second rank with his spear, still allowing two others to be in front...

Scythius steps forward to the doorway and strikes as soon as the zombies are in range.

Spear to hit: [1d20+1] = 9+1 = 10, Damage: [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2

sorry for the delay guys, my whole world came crashing down over the weekend.

Osric attack 1d20+2 → [2,2] = (4)

Scy and osric stand at the doorway, far enough apart that they cna each attack the approaching monstrosity but blocking the exit to keep the brainless creature pinned. behind them stands serg ready to prod his spear through the gaps between the 2 stalwart defenders.

the first of the zombies reaches the top of the stairs. His skin gray and decayed, you gag back bile as the stink of rotting flesh engulfs you. You see he wears what were once overalls, a formaly heavy set man that looks to have been older. The smell is to much and Osric and Scy are unable to land a solid blow.

Serg owever manages to plunge his spearhead into the thing. There is a squishing sound and hunks of flesh fall to the ground as he pulls the shaft free.

the creature reaches its fleshless fingers towards Osric as it moans.

1d20 → [20] = (20)

The creatures fingers dig into the big mans neck tearing away a hunk of flesh that the zombie hungrily shoves into it's mouth.

1d8 → [8] = (8)

The proud priest screams turn to a gurgle as blood comes in spurts and he collapses onto the ground

Crap! Someone take care of Osric! Sergius says as he tries to keep the zombie at bay with his spear.

Spear - To hit: [1d20+1] = 6+1 = 7, Damage (s/m): [1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4, Damage (L): [1d8+1] = 7+1 = 8
I think I'm gonna need some help with this...

Cilian pulls Osric back out of the melee and pours the last of the first Potion of Extra Healing into his mouth.

Healing dose to Osric [1d8+1] = 2+1 = 3

He waits to see if that brings him to consciousness before opening the second potion...

Viktor's eyes go wide with horror as he sees Osric go down. He steps into his childhood friend's previous position and swings his short sword at the zombie. "Yer gonna die again fer that!"

To Hit: short sword [1d20] = 15 (hits AC5), Damage vs small/medium creatures [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7

As Osric fals Cilian is quick to drag him out of the way and pour the healing potion down his throat. After a few seconds he sees theblood flow come to a stop and with a sputter the big mans looks around confused

what, what happened

In the meantime Vik quickly fills the open spot to prevent the zombies from making it through the doorway.

As the unholy thing tears into the piece of flesh it holds in its hand scy rams his spear into it once again causing it to stager. As it begins to teeter Viks swipe of his short sword removes the rotten head from it's neck and the body collapses and sslides down the stairs.

The next Zombie steps over it mindlessley and makes its way up to the companions. This one in a house coat once female and heavyset.

Let us keep hitting them. If I didn't have to worry about setting this place on fire I would pour down all the lamp oil we have and burn these damned things to ash.

Spear - To hit: [1d20+1] = 20+1 = 21, Damage (s/m): [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2, Damage (L): [1d8+1] = 1+1 = 2

Vik attacks with his short sword

1d20 → [17] = (17)
1d6+1 → [5,1] = (6)

removing the things arm and Serg follows up piercing it's chest causing the zombie to fall to pieces. It is quickly followed up by a smaller zombie continuing up the stairs, the walking corpse of a teenage boy.

His blood still boiling and adrenaline pumping from seeing Osric go down, Viktor swings on the poor, deceased boy, now teenage zombie, as it climbs the stairs hungrily. "Join yer parents in a final rest!"

To Hit: short sword [1d20] = 12 (hits AC8), Damage vs small/medium creatures [1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5

Scythius strikes at the undead youngster, obviously disturbed by the youth.

Spear to hit: [1d20+1] = 7+1 = 8, Damage: [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2

Osric does not doubt his faith, nor the power of his deity to turn back the undead. He seems most surprised that it did not work. For a second or two he eyes his hammer. Seeing no flaws, he determines that he must have said the words incorrectly. He steps to the rear, trying to avoid the eye of the party, in embarassing humility, Osric cast cure light on himself.
