If we do this enough times, eventually one of us will make his save. ;)

Next time we should just set a barricade at the door or something so we don't have to run as far.

Grigg fares marginally better this time, though not by much and still flees the room after Milo.

Save vs spells [1d20 - 2 = 14-2=22]

Can Grigg run into the portcullis ro hide.
Roll a d20 under your WIS (plus any modifiers for a high or low wisdom.)

I figured that. Need a WIS check to see if Grigg has the presence of mind to find in the portcullis room or is too terrified and continues along the same path as Milo.

Grigg wisdom check: [1d20] = 12 vs 9 wisdom.

Simoni holds his holy symbol in front of him and says to the apparition, "Now look here. We can't be having this sort of foolishness."

Turn: [2d6] = 10, Hit Dice: [2d6] = 8

Grigg does not think to run into the room and continues down the hall towards the entrance, coming to his senses there.

Simoni confronts the apparition, brandishing his holy symbol before him. Save vs. Spell -2

Sorry. Didn't receive notification about your post.

Simoni summons the inner strength to stand his ground against the apparition and brandish the power of his god against the creature. Though his faith is strong, the apparition is unwavering before it. The ghostly creature begins to pantomime a combat between itself and another though there is nothing there. The fight seems to last for minutes, with every passing one the creature appears to be losing strength as though being defeated by whatever it is fighting. Soon, the ghostly being falls to the ground, clutching its tattered side. As it lays there, it slowly dissolves away into nothingness.

Grigg

When he has composed himself, Grigg will sneak back down the corridor, urging big Bronn, Peaches and Claude to see how they fare in the room.

"Hoorah for St Ygg, I just knew he would be able to banish the ghostly demon."Grigg cheers from the back of the group.

Simoni says, "Well I hope he's learned his lesson." He goes over to the stone tablet to see if he can read the writing.

Pyrrhic will regroup with the others, standing guard watching the rear.

Checking out the tablet, Simoni sees it is written in what appears to be an ancient runic language. At first he doesn't make any heads or tails out of what is written but quickly the runes seem to move on the tablet of their own accord. Simoni is unable to take his eyes off the tablet and soon an old prayer to St. Ygg is written out on the tablet which is uttered to ward evil. As soon as he has finished reading the prayer the words fade from view and the tablet dissolves into dust.

At the moment, you feel as if it is burned into your mind, like it is your favorite psalm.

Grigg

"Third the charm's,Grigg says and cautiously steps into the room. He will investigate the body, kicking the skull into a side corner.

The skull, which was on the slab and fell to the ground when it was separated from the rest of its bones rolls into the corner of the room wobbling back and forth till finally coming to a rest. The remainder of the skeleton has nothing of particular notice.

Milo wanders back. "That never happened," he insists. "Just like the time before didn't happen."

"Okay, so this time, let's set up a blockade at the door to catch anyone who runs, and...what?"

The hobbit is disappointed to hear that the dust-ghost is gone.

"And it didn't even leave a copper piece for our troubles? Cheapskate."

"So, onward then?"
