MM3 Fletcher
"You all right over there, Tucker?" Fletcher shouts, torn between helping his teammate and keeping covering fire on the MG nest. But as bullets slam into Gurung, Fletcher growls and bears down on the Bren, sending off another burst towards the enemy.

Acme
"Good enough, now before he fires again on them." Marvin whispers and motions to the nest. He opens up with his tommy gun, hoping to finish this.

Roker nods at Acme's order and opens fire on the sniper.
Re: WW2 Supers d6: Mission Six: Saipan
Scrub tree line just East of Red Beach 1; Island of Saipan, approximately 1:20 PM, June 16th, 1944
The six members of SST 4 broke into two groups of 3 as they dealt with the last member of the first Type 92 MG nest.....
Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Kermit Fletcher sent a burst of 5 .303 rounds flying at the gunner from his Bren LMG while out of the corner of his eye, he could see the armored-up Gurung having problems clearing the jam in his Enfield Rifle.....
Elias Tucker was able to get a bandage on his wound as the sounds of a burst of fire from Fletcher's Bren Gun rang in his ears and he could 'feel' the frustration from his Gurkha teammate and friend as he struggled to clear the jam from his Bolt-Action Rifle. In better news, he heard a burst of fire from a Thompson and a couple of M1 Garand shots and an M1 Carbine shot and the 'woodpecker' sounds of the Type 92 MG firing at them ceased.....
Major Marvin Acme led a trio of his team to a flanking position of the last member of the 'Woodpecker' MG team and when he gave the order to open fire, Saul Rabinowitz quickly cut loose with a pair of shots from his M1 Garand, but neither hit the target! They Type 92 swung towards them and Senior Chief Roker fired a shot from his M1 Carbine that hit the Gunner in the left arm and knocked one of his hands off the spade firing grips for a moment, all while Acme took aim with his Thompson.....
Taking a breath and then letting it go, he stroked the trigger and sent 5 .45 rounds flying down-range and they stitched all across the IJA soldier's torso and dropped him forever and just like that, the fight was over.....
Fletcher came over and quickly helped with Gurung and got his Rifle un-jammed and then the trio moved to rejoin Acme and Co. The deep 'thoomp....thoomp' sound from the 81 mm Mortar team could be heard about 50 yards away, but still out of sight due to the scrub woods. An occasional tracer zipped through the area, stray rounds fired from the U.S. Army guys back at the sand dunes. Everyone looked at Acme for orders*.....
*Okay, so the Mortar is about 50 yards away, judging by the noise.....but it can't be seen right now, due to scrub and brush cover......you would all know that typically about 5 men man the mortar, with 3 really working the weapon, one acting as a 'spotter' with binoculars to adjust fire and one as a 'guard' protecting the others....
Fletcher would know he's down to only 5 rounds in his Bren's clip right now (1 Burst).....

"You able to go Tucker?" Marvin checks on his wounded man and looks toward others for medical advice.
"That may work you two. Let's go blow it up."
He forms up and ensures everyone is quiet and sneaky getting within sight. "They may have a sniper as well, keep your eyes up."

The members of SST 4 went into action against the IJA 81mm mortar team, but they noticed the loud sound of an attack and a sudden increase in volume of fire....American weapons fire....as LT COL Fawell must've lost patience and launched the attack across the open beach! The Japanese mortar team increased their rate of fire as tracers from American MGs zipped thru the trees and things just got a lot more interesting......
First, Gurung moved his Armored self out in the open towards the IJA team and he fired a couple of quick shots from his Enfield, not really trying to hit targets, but rather to get the enemies' attention as Elias Tucker vanished as he activated his Talent Power. His plan only partially worked though as the attack commenced, the 3 men working the Mortar didn't even look up and the SGT directing fire continued to scream orders at them for adjusting fire as the shells fell into the wave of Marines charing towards them. The fifth member though turned towards Gurung and surprisingly, he had a Type 96 LMG that he had been bracing on a bipod and firing at the oncoming Marines, but he turned and fired it from the hip, sending a burst of 6.5mm rounds that slammed into the Gurka's scale covered body, knocking him down and leaving him wincing from the pain of the bruises, but none of the rounds penetrated flesh. Gurung DID feel the strain of his Power though and knew it would be an effort to keep it 'up' at the moment*......
As Gurung got the enemy's attention; Elias Tucker took a deep breath and activated his Talent Power of Invisibility and then with a wince of pain, he slung his Springfield and drew his Smith and Wesson 1917 .45 revolver and took a grenade into his other hand as he moved quickly towards the IJA mortar team. He saw/heard Gurung fire a couple of shots and then saw the fifth member of the Mortar Team, who was about 7 or 8 yards away from the others near the tube, turn and fire a burst from a Type 96 LMG that hit his armored friend and knocked him to the ground**....
Kermit Fletcher followed Gurung and presumably Tucker as the latter turned invisible, the big Bren starting to cause his arms to burn from carrying its bulk. Gurung cut loose a pair of shots and this was quickly answered by a Japanese Machinegunner who put a 5 round burst into his armored team-mate and Kermit saw red and he cut loose the last 5 rounds from his own weapon in return. His burst hit the IJA soldier in the middle and dropped him to the ground, then his weapon went dry and found himself just pulling the trigger on an empty weapon.....
As half of SST 4 moved up to engage the Mortar Team, Major Acme heard the distinctive wood-pecker sounds from the second Japanese MG nest suddenly increase in volume as Fawell launched his assault. Looking through the scrub trees he could see Marines rushing across the open terrain getting mowed down as they were hit by the MG and mortar fire. The latter would hopefully soon be silenced as Tucker went invisible with a pistol and a grenade in his hands and Gurung and Fletcher backed him up. Looking over towards the woodpecker sound, he could see through some scrub, maybe a couple of hundred yards away the muzzle flash of the IJA MG. Glancing at Roker and Saul, he realized he had a guy who could blend in with the terrain in Rabinowitz and somebody who could move fast through the area as a terrifying Wolfman in Roker.....
*Gurung is Bruised and will be at -1D to all actions for 3 rounds....he is also about to have his Armor Talent 'run out'.....but this can be delayed with Will Power Points/Will Power rolls. The first round is a 10.....with WP expenditure adding +1 to the roll per WP spent (not +1D, +1) if you want....you can also just let the Power 'turn off'....
**Tucker has a group of 4 men around the 81mm Mortar Tube about 30 yards in front of him.....1, the spotter/leader is about 4-5 yards to the left of the others....

Gurung will try to roll to some cover where he can recover. He will try to keep his armor up but not spend any extra will to do it.

Re: WW2 Supers d6: Mission Six: Saipan
Knowing he's wounded and needs to shut down the mortar asap. Elias will move inside 20 tards [(using a luck point) and throw the grenade. Fall for cover and be ready to use the pistol.

He pauses to enjoy the potential grenade explosion from Tucker, then barks orders to those nearby. "Fawell got impatient. We need to take out that other nest now. What do you think Roker? You and Rabinowitz can get there easier and faster. Are you up to it? We'll be right behind."
Marvin remarks to Rabinowitz, "Don't get too close to Roker during it. Just trust me."
He then rushes forward to clean up the mess in the mortar pit, firing at anyone standing.
