Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
For round two, I have Gil preparing a sleep spell. Not sure how many rounds it would take to cast it.

Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
Just so I'm clear: you want your character to stand immediately in front of a partially-webbed mish-mash of broken wood, and have him lean in and attack the several trolls that are about to come bursting forth any second. The trolls, who are about 9' tall, have 19 strength and can grab your smaller-than-human-size character, drag him into the chamber of trolls to either be rended limb from limb or cast into the pit with the mutated gelatinous cube? Just want to be clear.GreyWolfVT wrote: So my broadsword isn't long enough to poke through where the trolls are flailing about trying to get out?

Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
well that was where I last knew my character to be so that was why i did not try a ranged attack. I last was trying to free the web stuck
PC. I never read that I was knocked back or anything and last I saw trolls are breaking out of the door. So it has be a wee confused mr DM.

Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
has me* terrible typo on my end. I edited my last IC post to reflect short bow attacks if I need to edit my macro to not include my hit and dmg bonus from STR let me know.

Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
Ok I must have got my rounds confused. I thought I was casting mirror image the round we were waiting for them to break the door down. I guess my bow fumble is next round
Sorry, I'll try to keep up

Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
you are not the only confused one here shaidar I'm lost entirely first I was near the door helping then i was not supposed to be close so i used bow attack instead of my sword but now i am in melee with a troll slapping the heck out of me but my attacks neither melee or ranged did anything.... so I am wayyyyy lost.

Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
I thought things were happening such:
Surprise round:
fireball and web
Round 1
trolls bashin down door
hand being unwebbed
Mathus casts mirror image
round 3
trolls break through
attack!
Mathis manages not to throw his bow away.
How wrong have I managed to get it?

Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
This was my understanding as well. But per note IC, I may retract the Mirror Image depending on when you intended to cast it.shaidar wrote:I thought things were happening such:

The confusion is my fault - I apologize. After the "surprise" round, the trolls bashed through 75% of the door/web, meaning Algrim could not quite attack them, but I thought I would give the PCs the benefit of "waiting to accept the charge" of the trolls, letting them roll over their attack a little bit.

See my note in the thread - Algrim *did* strike with his sword attack, right after Trolls break through. I disregarded the bow attack as I could tell I was not communicating well the location/position of everyone.
Re: Out of Character (ooc) chat
Ah I see, what I thought was round 1 was the end of the surprise round!
