Hey there! While I will definitely read through your campaign world write-up at some point in the next few days; I've been a bit pressed for time so I haven't had a chance yet. To get it out there quick; here's my character concept (been in two all-too-brief campaigns on this site so far....let's hope he's not cursed! :) ):

Half-orc Cleric/Thief whose human mother was in a trade caravan that got attacked by orcs; she was one of the few survivors who was taken prisoner and violated...and later rescued. She goes back to a city; later has a son who is raised in the (predominately) human city and loses his mother to disease while a fairly young child. Growing up different and in a rough part of town; he gains some Thief skills and might have gone down the road to becoming a typical street-urchin/gang-punk but instead he one day he attempts to snatch some food from a Temple to a God of Adventurers (i.e. some kind of Good Deity whose somewhat mischievous; something along the lines of Hermes or Rudd from Greyhawk); and is caught by a kind Priest who then decides to take in the half-orc orphan. From that point on he becomes both a devotee and later Priest of the God(ess?) while still utilizing his Thief skills now and then. After coming of age; the life of an adventurer was a natural choice.

This sound acceptable?

Here's his stats; note: I used the Generic 'Cleric' class info; if you have specific Deity info (i.e. special bonuses and what Spheres he has access too; please let me know); I also do not have any Racial modifiers for his Thief skills.

I ask so I will know what to select to match my character background.

also what about the fighitng syles like two weapon and sword and shield styles form the fighters handbook.
- You may dump language profs into extra non weap profs.

- What about the fighting styles? You may use them.

Fonton (Fon-Ton)
The Long Road, Lord Luck G
Good Fortune, Adventurers, Glory
Lesser Deity
Double tailed coin with boots on both sides

INFO: Fonton the deity of good fortune and adventurers is an old lesser deity within the Pantheon. Fonton embodies good fortune, and the freedom of adventuring and the act of grand quests and adventure. Fonton favors the gambler, and those who take risks for adventure and wonderment.
Fonton often makes physical trips to Thaaed. When he does he can almost always be found in the midst of adventurers, or taverns that adventurers meet. He appears as an unshaven, raven haired man with an adventuring pack and a belt full of pouches. The young godling is always seen flipping a coin or doing manual tricks with a coin.
Fonton has the ability to pull any piece of adventuring gear from any of his pouches, and his traveling pack always seems to have just enough food and provisions and sleeping gear for any amount of people in his group. Fonton wears a longsword and a shortsword on his belt. His longsword has a hilt that is carved into two nude females. The longsword is a blessed +5 weapon that when it hits, steals a level of experience and gives it temporarily to the wielder. The shortsword is a blue metal weapon with a silver basket hilt carved into a dragon with open wings. It hits as a +5 weapon and when it hits, the victim saves vs. magic at a flat -9 or become charmed, (no racial save or magical defense).
Mortals always claim to have been visited by Fonton, and it rarely is done the same way twice. Some claim to have seen him in a tavern, spouting tales of lost treasure, ripe for retrieval. Others recall a strange but calming man entering their campsite, spurning them onto further adventures with stories of ruined castles and hidden vaults. Still others see a cloaked man drop a treasure map on his way out of the tavern doors, only to chase and see him vanish. Good fortune is not only for the gambler, but also for the adventurer. Luck and fortune go hand in hand with adventuring on Thaaed.
Any person who picks up a traveling pack or a weapon to find their fame and fortune in the world pays homage to Fonton. He has no Specialty priests, but there is a small clerical sect that gives themselves freely to adventuring groups in need off healers. These clerics call themselves "Healers" and will join any adventuring band freely to keep them alive to further adventure. Most of these healers pray to other gods, and Fonton is their secondary theology they follow. The healing spells are given by the cleric's main god, but amplified by Fonton if they are given to adventurers.

I plan on finishing my sheet today and have only one question. Are we playing with weapon specialization?

Here I assume you are referring to necromancer from the Complete Book of Necromancers, and not necromancer the specialist wizard? If I'm correct, I'd like to play a necromancer specialist wizard. I tried playing one in a pbp about a year ago that lasted all of like 2 weeks.
