Is Benson in uniform or adventuring gear? Unfortunately they are not the same thing.

Depends on what constitutes as "Uniform" ... more often then not that would be as simple as pulling on the tabard or surcoat.Stonjuz wrote:Is Benson in uniform or adventuring gear? Unfortunately they are not the same thing.

While on duty, liberties with the Uniform are only given to those of rank, or those on special assignment.grey_starr wrote:Depends on what constitutes as "Uniform" ... more often then not that would be as simple as pulling on the tabard or surcoat.Stonjuz wrote:Is Benson in uniform or adventuring gear? Just my way of letting you know that while you carry all of your stuff around you arent dressed exactly like the other guards of your same rank.
Thornstone's reaction was not nearly as bad as it could have been.

How much longer before they count you as AWOL?grey_starr wrote: *if this group does indeed become a "group", he will take leave from the Watch to follow this calling*
When was the last time you recieved any orders?
When was the last time you heard the following,
"Greystarr, just what in the hells do you think you are doing now?"
Bumping threads and getting ready for the football game.

Re: Greystarr of Greyhawk
I'm following the order I was given, tailing the Mage... and in game time - I would put that at 2 whole days past order received - day one order received with talk of promotion - day 2 compete at games - day three is "today" sticking to Mage, deciding to adventure likely following Fish meeting.

Re: Greystarr of Greyhawk
Im trying to remember what I was carrying when I left the military.
It was a long time ago (80s) ....but I do remember keeping some of my uniforms.
I did not get to keep my standard issue weapon so.....
Im gonna rule , and this is gratious on my part i think....
you can keep the armor and +1 medium steel shield (other soldiers make them into crests for their mantles) but the clubs are returned
so he is going to be shopping....somehow.
Do you pass the word among the guards that you are looking?
If so, they of course, ask "How much money you got ?"
Do you ask the other party members?
They may ask the same question...
Convincing Nicholi to let you go shopping alone ? Doubt it.
Also, I would like to know more about the possibilty of Benson growing up in the orphanage too?
I have made it mandatory regarding Phineus. Since you two could have been lifelong friendly rivals, it is up to you, but possible.
Regardless of your decision, you know of Nicholi's good works.

Re: Greystarr of Greyhawk
Well - since the start for me everything was provided by the City... Is it safe for me to assume perhaps that the 200 gp "starting" is my life long savings then? Plus I have the 200 silver (less that cost of my "party" - which was how much?) With that I could then buy the key supplies I would need plus a long sword.
As for the "history" ... it's pretty open - just give what you want and I can fill in the details. Orphan, minor benefactor, bringer back of naughty boys... whatever.

Re: Greystarr of Greyhawk
Benson had spent 46 silver in the Whistling Fish.
[1d100] = 46 [1d20] = 15 [1d10] = 6 [1d8] = 7 [1d6] = 5 [1d4] = 4
He had been looking for a good longsword and now seems a good time to purchase one.
His clubs and polearm have been returned.
He adds the discharge papers to his inventory. (More on the papers to follow)
His background : Come up with something if you like, but i will visuaize him as living in the orphanage until he was old enough to join the Junior Guard.
