Initiative Order: Zan (3), Roan & Lizards (5), Everyone Else (10)[/b]

Clearly blessed with a bit of wisdom despite being a young Elf, Zan returns to the hallway, dispensing 'healing' holy water to his companions.
"Hope, that's how this works." Roan says, as he douses himself. The vines immediately dissolve away, and Roan looks to see Zan pour another vial all over his fellow Elf, Cassius, saving his life.
The lizard in hall grabs the body of the acolyte in its jaws and begins to crawl away in the direction from whence it was summoned. It doesn't get very far because Cassius cuts it down with a flurry of steel.

Back in the chamber of the Patriarch, Sai and Lt. Dan try to kill one of the giant lizards, but neither are able to really hurt the beast, even as it appears unable to hurt them.
A few feet away, Fahima pushes the vines away from her eyes as she scoops a handful of healing salve and rubs it on Gormundel...trying desperately to save his life. The salve glows slightly as it goes to work, and like a miracle, Gormundel stirs and tries to open his eyes and mouth...And still the spores do their best to mummify their hosts with stringy vines.


Actions! No new map; basically it looks the same as the last round except L1 is dead and Sai has moved to stand beside Lt. Dan to fight L2. In the little treasure room, the other two giant lizards are ripping and tearing chunks of meat off of Bronn's body...for now.

Roan calls out "Got anymore o' that holy water? We gotta get it ta tha others." he says as he rushes to where the holy water was found hoping to get a couple vials to help anyone else still being "consumed" by the vines.

Having skewered the two lizards in the hall, he returns to the chamber to continue his reptilian genocide.

He immediately spots L2 in combat with Lt. Dan and Sai. Cassius strikes out at the lizard.

Initiative: [1d10]=1 Yay!

Fahima hollers, staggering toward her companions in the hallway. Zan, who had found two more vials, uncorks one and pours it over Fahima's head. Immediately, the unholy vines wither and burn away!
She sighs in relief and watches Cassius drive his sword through the back of the head of the giant lizard attacking Lt. Dan. The beast grunts and falls to the floor, dead.
"Got anymore o' that holy water? We gotta get it ta tha others." Roan says, searching the rooms for more. Eventually, with the combined efforts of he and Zan, they gather enough vials of holy water for everyone. Sai and Lt. Dan douse themselves and Fahima douses Gormundel.

Exhausted and barely hanging on, the companions stand around (or sit around) and listen to their own breathing...and the two giant lizards continuing to feed on the body of Bronn.
"What are we gonna do about them?" Lt. Dan asks, his face drained of energy.

Actions? There should be two more applications of ointment in the jar; anyone have healing spells? In the little treasure room, the other two giant lizards are ripping and tearing chunks of meat off of Bronn's body...for now.

Gormundel opens his eyes...could he have been jolted back to consciousness by Cassius' shout? The wizard groans loudly and flails with his arms as he struggles to stand. Lt. Dan sheathes his sword and helps and others steady the man whom they wondered if he would return to the land of the living.
The wizard closes his eyes in concentration and speaks a word while clapping his hands. The two remaining lizards appear from the side room, their muzzles covered in gore and guts. He speaks another word and points toward the hallway. Reluctant to leave a good meal, the lizards hesitate, but then comply moving slowly toward the vestibule and then down the hall. They linger over the bodies of the two dead lizards and the acolyte. One grabs the dead acolyte in its powerful jaws and carries the man's body away, disappearing down the hall.

Gormundel slumps and slides down the wall to sit on the cold floor. "What happened?"
"We damn near died three times over! That's what happened!" Lt. Dan growls, clearly agitated. "What do we do now?"

Sai takes the clay jar from Fahima and scoops out a handful of the salve, applying it to Cassius' wounds first, and then uses the last of it on Zan.

Actions?

Roan "Couldn'a said it better meself Dan. I'd say almost died four times over though." he says with a sly wink. "Yeah dunno bout takin on yer boss we almost died just tryin ta get ta him." the dwarf hates to admit but clearly feels it with the loss of the big man and almost everyone else.

"We could rest in here," Gormundel offers. "Only one way in. We could guard the vestibule and then fall back to this chamber if need be."
The weary wizard wipes his face with an old handkerchief and says, "Or we could backtrack all the way to my private quarters. There may be others alive...somewhere."
