Trist comes back to the group as long as the area was secure, "So...What's the story here folks. If I remember correctly, there was someone running from that psuedo giant one when we had to step in and put a hurt on em."

"I got myself one of those also" - the man produced a similar flyer - "Was about to go into Penhaligon to know more, so it is good we crossed paths"

My view was that we were about ready to move out and have to officially decide what to do with the prisoners. Delsenora is will to leave them behind.

I think we leave the grubby gnomes tied up here at the mercy of the forest. Durand and Quinn can alert the authorities to their presence when they return to Penhaligon.

Trist moves up to the stranger, "The name is Trist. My familiar is Jivet. Welcome to the group."

Trist nod to the others discussing what to do with the tied-up individual, "Under the circumstances, I guess that is best. I'm not crazy about leaving them to the wilds. We need to move on though."

"I hate to see such behaviour go unpunished, but pragmatically we do not have much of an option to take them immediately to the authorities."

Quinn chimes in "Not to sound cruel but the local guards in the city aren't ready to try jailing creatures that can grow to giant size. You're best off questioning them out here and dispatching them when you're done. Otherwise I don't know who is currently ready to contain magical creatures what with the old mage still dead and nobody to fill his position."

Do we have any questions which we want to ask them? I am not sure if a marauding band of spriggans will help us find Demetris. We leave them tied up here without weapons. Nature will take its course.

"No, we should do the right thing and make it quick. They are clearly a threat to other innocent people and must be dealt with."

He will go up to each one, "I find you guilty of being a brigand." Then he kills them cleanly and quickly.

"Thank you" - the tall man nodded, from behind his hood.

He then watches impassively as the spriggan are put to the blade.

"I would accompany if you would have me" - he adds, when the whole ugly affair is done - "I can handle myself in a scuffle"

(@GreyWolfVT: Does Telurion know anything about Spriggans, specifically why they would be waylaying travelers? Are they cannibals? Or just robbers?)

Reywald seems a bit edgy about the whole ambush/ execution ordeal and tries to focus on their natural surroundings instead by keeping an eye for anything else. He flinches a little each time the sounf of steel meeting flesh echoes behind him.

Prior to this encounter most of you did not know what spriggan was, some of you "mages/magicy types" had heard of them same with the dwarves heard of them never seen one before today. Aside from what the two mongrel"people" have confessed you had not heard much locally about them. This appears to be a recent development. Everyone ones mostly has only ever heard tall tales of spriggan, and thought them just that.

"I have recently learned some new skill and if needed I can track fairly well. Not that we need to track these back to a lair. Just in case in the future we need to do some tracking, I can."

Trist and Jivet take point or get in marching order once they decide what their next actions will be.

Delsenora does not watch the killings, but instead is stepping through a dance of mourning.

Nameless "Can we ride with? Then return to city?" he asks.

Kravoud

A little shocked at Egon's rashness, Kravoud says a short prayer for the dead over the bodies of the spriggans as the party mounts back to the now more crowded wagon with the new human and nameless ones in tow.

He wonders why a rarely seen race such as Spriggans would be marauding in the woods and if it has anything to do with the strange notices that they all received.

Trist takes a moment to search the bodies of the recent victims for clues and loot.

“These ruffians might have information or usable loot we could use in our quest.”

Telepathically “Jivet keep watch invisibly 30 yard radius.”
