Looking for a Dark Eye game

I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.

Looking for a Dark Eye game

#1 Post by cybersavant »

Anyone willing to run a Dark Eye game? I have the english translation and got excited creating a character for a game that never got off the ground.

got this off another board

In TDE5 terms, druids are a tradition, in 4th ed it was a profession. From what I have seen they're rather dark figures. Their description can be found in Aventurische Magie III. That would be Magic of Aventuria 3 but I don't think it has been translated. If you can read German (or use machine translation), you can find a wealth of information on the wiki-aventurica. The links for druids: https://de.wiki-aventurica.de/wiki/Druide

For character creation, I can advise you optolith (both German and English possible): https://optolith.app/en It does all calculations for you and takes care of the rules.

I like the fact they have a more true to history Druid. I can't think of a better bad guy. I have never heard of Dark Eye so certainly not up to running a game. Is it a crunchy system or closer to D&D?

character creation is a bit crunchy - but interesting

the English edition hasn't translated everything from the German as yet
