It seems experience with the Call of Cthulhu would be useful.

Are you familiar with the rules enough to say if they are capable of handling a "Dresden Files" sort of game? I haven't walked around London since the '80's, and haven't ever been a British LEO.

Looks and feels very similar to Candela Obscura (of Critical Role fame).

Steampunk/Arkham/Cthulhu mythos has a nice science-fantasy appeal. I haven't played Rivers of London let alone GM'd a game.

I would be up to join a similar genre of game should one develope.

Looks likely to work - The in-story US magical set up even appears in one story. The "How to be a UK police officer" bit probably needs a different approach though. Despite the films, non-government guns are very, very rare in London and the home-counties. And Murder rates are relatively low too.
